We have to be realistic and accept that it will be someone past their prime or a young untried talent.

I suspect Klasnic is still on the radar, as are a good dozen or so strikers. But right now, they'll all want top dollar. Only the out of contract players need bagging early doors, for the rest, it's always the waiting game. Look around - how much business has actually been done by anyone compared to the amount of speculation? We're no different to anyone.

i find it concerning that in todays papers,fulham are being linked with bellamy and stoke are being linked with remmy for ?13 million and carlton cole...and we are being linked with fuck all!...oh and david nugent and a bloke who cant play 90 minutes and has one kidney and wants 60k a week....

no,the fucking truth is that we are two weeks away from the new season,with two strikers that in two seasons as a pairing have musterd fuck all,a 34 year old squad player that struggled to get in burnleys team towards the end of last season and the only name we've been linked with is david nugent and a player we have already tried and tested and is not fit enough to complete 90 minutes.the situation in frightening.

its the sheer fact that sky sport news are reporting link for stoke to sign the likes of carlton cole and we are being linked with fuck all.

maybe the tabloids do get things wrong and embelish rumours...but it would be nice to get a mention from time to time to offer a bit of hope.
