2 renewals (my son and I). Not missed a league game at the 'bok and don't intend to start now. Would be nice to see better football to reward the 130 mile round trip.

Me and Mrs D will be renewing. Son of d will be getting his first "I'm going with my mates coz I'm a big boy now and want to stand in the East Lower" ?50 ticket*. Daughter is still doing the ball assistant bit.

 

*Look after my lad will you? It'd be funny as hell if, after every home game, he was getting home complaining that every time he said anything, different folk were turning round to him saying they'd tell his dad!

I may move from ESL next season for a change!!

Change of pricing structure this year. Juvenile age is dropping back to 16 and price is increasing to ?129 in all areas.

 

There will be a 10% increase in upper tier pricing but a 10% reduction in lower tier on current rates, this is to encourage fans closer to the pitch and create more of an atmosphere.

 

All early purchases will also get a free club home shirt or an interest free option for payment.

 

There will also be a refreshment season ticket, 1 pie and 1 pint per home game for ?60.

There was an article on here a few weeks ago asking if we were missing out not having "an end".

I think they should make the cheap seats behind each goal, effectively moving the ESL bunch to NSL and SSL. Move the away fans to SSU, where they can be charged more and will make less noise, but keeping the NSU the family stand.

Villa have cheap seats behind both goals and the noise those fans generate is always amazing, away fans can hardly be heard because they are so far away.

 

Also, was looking at ticket prices for Sheff Weds for the derby game (biggest of their season) and an adults ticket was ?17 on the Kop. That must generate some good numbers and the kind of people on there will like a piss-up and a good sing-song.

I understand and fully support the principle of reducing prices to attract more fans, but not at the cost of existing supporters who choose to sit in other areas of the ground. I would be happy with a price freeze where I am and reduced tickets eslewhere, but not a price hike and a reduction elsewhere.

I've no problem with our prices, some of the cheapest in the Premiership, but i agree i think were not doing ourselves any favours having away fans behind the goals.Put the away fans in the southside of the west stand lower and upper if required, then the yoof would move behind the goalto be near them and a better all round atmosphere would be created. The away fans would not be able to crate the same noise, they would have to pay more and a friendly rivalry would be created between the north and south stands again increasing the atmosphere a la Spurs , Villa and Blackburn are trying it. ( but without the atmosphere)

They are finalising the details but, word is, they feel that the upper stands contain more 'afluent' fans than the lower and, as the upper tier provide little towards any atmosphere, they want to make the lower tier more affordable. While I agree with the consensus that the upper tier fans are generally more affluent I suspect there may also be people like myself who sit in the upper tier with relatives etc and are not quite as affluent as the people they sit with.

 

I can probably just about afford a 10% increase this year but only because my mortgage rate is currently very good. I cannot guarantee I'll be able to afford it next year because I'm certainly not affluent. Perhaps it time to ask for a pay rise!

As at the moment i WONT be renewing my ST and nor will my lad. Wife lost her job so football is first thing to get the heave ho. Intend to go as many games as poss but instead of 30 including aways it may be 8-10 tops.

Also not enjoyed sitting in west stand like i thought i would as the prick in north upper who everyone in the stand hated also decided to move and sits about 4 rows behind me. More than once ive wanted to give him a clip, slags everyone and everything off about the club from 2.55 - 4.45, dont really know why he goes as he hated meggo wanted coyle and now seems to hate coyle................
