Do you mean he won the whole thing? Thats some going if he did, there where over 2 million teams last season. I am in, hoping to do better than last year, i got pissed off with it and stopped bothering.

Santa Cruz or Bellemy for me, top money but what you save on transfer fee you can add to wage etc. At the moment they are looking like they will not even get a squad number so there must be some room for negotiation. However I think Mark Hughes will get in there on one or both when he gets the Fulham job.

JUST CHECKED THE CALANDER AND THE MAY DAY WEEKEND IS ON SAT 30TH APRIL - MONDAY 2ND MAY SO IT WONT BE THE BANK HOLIDAY BUT AT LEAST THE WEATHER SHOULD BE GOOD SUNDAY KO OR NOT.
-
Just had word from a friend ITK - Blackpool home 27th November Blackpool away 2nd to last game of season (last away of season) by my reconing that will be either the may day bank holiday weekend or the one after, either way the old bill will probably move to the Sunday as the Police have classed it as a C+ game (the highest catagory). If it is the bank holiday weekend then its an absolute jackpot! Confirmed Fulham away first game.

?? I meant that its mid week so most will have work the next day, its a phrase. Just a shame it was not on a Friday or Saturday so we could make a day/night of it. Fleetwood on the Friday night = big drink!
-
Just a shame that Morcambe game is on a school night, saturday afternoon would have been perfect. Think the Fleetwood game on the Friday night will be the pick.

Is Scotland not classed as home grown like Wales? If so Holden was born in Scotland and may have duel nationality.
-
His contract runs out next summer so its shit or bust this year, if we keep hold of him and he fails then we wont get fuck all for him. I still think we could get ?2m for him now and I would take it.

Wolves - 36 pts West Brom - 30 pts Bpool - 25 pts Going to be tougher staying up next season, we will really need a good start just so we are not bogged down in the shit early doors.
-
It will be on Boxing Day at 12pm! Absolute guarantee! They hand pick local derbys around Christmas and the Old Bill even get a say, the last thing they are going to veto is a 3pm on a hot saturday in August. Wish it was mind! One of the lads that comes on with us used to play for Bpool and lives in Lytham so he knocks about with a load of there lads - he recons they are foaming at the mouth to play us above Munich, Liverpool everything they just want to smash our fans to pieces when we turn up at Bpool - women and children included! Revenge for 74 bollocks! Cant see it being that bad myself, they said similar when Wigan came up and Burnley. Be fuck all bother if its 12pm on Boxing day like they made the Burnely fixture.
-
Bpool would be a cracking day out if it was 3pm on a sat but my money is on us getting them away on boxing day and the old bill will make it 12pm KO to curb the inevitable trouble.

I was looking at the Sunday Times rich list a year or two ago and it said Trevor Hemmings had a share in both PNE and Charlton, I thought it was against the rules to have a stake in 2 league teams but apparently not. He got hammered with the credit crunch though, he was the largest private shareholder in RBS when they dropped through the floor. Even still he has enough lose change nocking about to keep the wolves from the door.
-
I think so, him and McCann signed in 2007 from Villa both with 3 year contracts. I cant see McCann being here either next year - think he will be at Bpool if they come up.

One of the lads that comes on with us is friends with a few German / Croatians who work for German SKY and are good mates with Klasnic, from what they where saying he wasnt to happy with the ammount of action he got under Coyle. Think he fancies playing for his boy hood team of St Pauli (in hamburg) who have just been promoted back to the Bundesliga. Cant see Taylor playing in Turkey???

I saw the european attendances last week and it looked roughly double - I appreciate that it was not across a season. Match day advertising programmes / hoardings etc + additional revenues from food and drink + club shop + bookies etc would help bridge the massive discount. If the difference after that is ?2m then this represents either 3% - 4% of turnover or 3 places higher in the league. Just think more bums on seats would give us a better atmosphere and could potentially be the difference between a draw and a win and maybee an extra few points.
-
Cheaper prices = larger attendances Look at Germany, they charge ?5 - ?10 a ticket, ?1.50 a pint and they are getting twice the numbers that the prem is getting. Huddersfield town offered ST for ?100 a ST in league 1 last year and they sold over 10,000, nearly as many as us last year. Many BWFC fans have got out of the routine of going to the Reebok as a/ The atmosphere has been really shite b/ You can watch the game on the internet or in the pub for free c/ The football has been shite. It will be difficult getting the lads back in numbers without a drastic upturn in form / player signings or drastically reduced prices. If we where to offer ST at ?190 then i am confident that we would sell 20,000 ST as appose to 12,000 at current prices. The extra sales would make up some of the lost revenue in the price reduction. Additional revenue from sponsership hoardings etc would also help bridge the gap. The money we would be down would make up a less than 1% of turnover and if the extra crowd / atmosphere help us get a few extra points then it will have paid itself off. If we where to down and needed to raise prices then i think we would still be looking at 8,000 St sales in the champ, wouldnt be much difference from keeping prices the same. I feel the need to do something drastic because next season will be bad - Hull, Pompey and Burnley all had worst average gates than us and have all gone down. Newcastle, WBA and one from Notts Forr, Cardiff, Leicter and Bpool. All bar Bpool will get better gates than us. It will be us and Wigan fighting out in the shittest gate competition.

Think the dodgy TV hasnt helped at all but the fact is many fans dont feel that watching BWFC is value for money. At the hight of recent sucsess we had sold nearly ?20k ST and the atmosphere was bouncing. This was because the 20k included many of the lads who had follwed us for years home and away, over the next few years many of these lads did not renew for numerous reasons - initially ESL prices of ?450+, over agressive stewards throwing lads out for anything, poor football and a depressing management choice more recently. The ESL is now full of under 19's paying ?49 a head none of who know any songs or care about getting an atmosphere going. If the reported prices are correct and they are increasing the child prices then many of these will not renew IMO. Now we have lost the support to the local pubs (dodgy TV) we need to take drastic measures to get them back in the routine of going every week to watch BWFC (home at least). The only way that I can see to do that is to sell as many ST in the summer as possible, this way we will have fans committed to going to all home games instead of picking and choosing and ending up only coming to 5 games. If ST where at a real bargain price compared to paying as you go (?190 adult all over ground, ?49 child all over ground) then i think we could get many fans back on mass and this will drastically help the atmosphere. Now we have a more carismatic manager and seem to be turning a corner on the field as well as the stewards no longer being so heavy handed I think if we got these lads back in the routine of coming the games then we can keep them coming for years.
-
Would be down on revenue but not as bad as 30% as the extra take up of ST would off set the reduction in price and the extra matchday revenue (advertising hordings, food and drink etc) would plug the gap a little more. IMO I think we need to do something drastic to sell as many ST as possible as in the current climate I think a lot will pick and choose instead of paying out for a ST in the summer. The atmosphere has dropped to VERY POOR levels recently at the reebok and a regular gate of 25k/26k would help make it better and could turn a few draws into wins = extra couple of league positions = ?1.5m in revenue. I dont think these prices would dramatically effect our turnover if at all when you take everything into consideration. If we had to put them up in year 2 then maybee some of the new fans would not renew but hopefully if they get back into the routine of going the game they would get a taste for it again and stay on. A bit left field but I think our ST numbers will shrink due to 18 year olds having to pay full price, there has been alot of young lads (older than 16) that have been on a ?49 ST this season.
-
Think the club should drop there pants this season, I would sell standard ST at ?190 all around the ground and childrens (under 16's) at ?49 all around the ground. Try it for one season only, say its for the fans due to the current economic climate, if they keep match day prices the same ?20 - ?30+ then this will add a real financial incentive for fans to buy a ST in the summer and attend all games instead of 8 - 10. At the current prices there is not much difference between an adult ST in th ESL and paying as you go with a memebership discount so fans are picking and choosing the games and only attending a handful. I think at those prices we would fill the ground with 20k ST holders coming to every game and the extra atmosphere would be worth a an extra position or 2 in the league table paying off the lost ticket revenue. The increase in matchday sales i.e programmes, food, betting advertising etc would also make up for some of the initial loss. If they keep prices the same many will decide to pick and choose the games and once the Tory axe has cut the north to pieces then attendances / atmosphere will be as glum if not glummer than they where this season.
