  1. Forgot about hemmings His house is down the road Believe he owns Chorley for similar potential residential housing reasons Whealan at Wigan bought charnock Richard golf club down the road that was supposedly going to be a new training ground Be houses on there at some point too if imagine
  2. I don't know for sure and I can't be arsed checking but I'd guess that ZC is our top scorer over last season and this (18 months) I recon he's just about edged ALF out Given that he only had his full debut 11 months a go into that 18 month period and has spent at least 6 of this 11 injured if think he's our best bet of getting goals required for a run at staying up Keeping him from picking up an injury will be the hard bit But then again his injuries have been inflicted through bad challenges rather than recurring injuries that other players get He's our best hope as it stands unless this war chest lands
  3. I'm not reading a great deal into the dissolved subsidiaries For the record I've been the director of 2 dissolved companies that are now dissolved that were registered at my mum and dads house I'd expect a lot of businesses to have set up sub companies that will have been dissolved for one reason or another My understanding (which might be wrong) is that they are set up to insulate the parent company from any potential liabillities the sub company may have I.e Bolton in the community faces liable action for its workers molesting children - the parent company Bwfc wouldn't be responsible
  4. I thought we'd all agreed the debt is of complete irrelevance The problem is the wage bill is higher than what we have coming in, the questions that need to be asked are..... Why on earth did we sign Amos in the summer? Why did we give Pratley a new deal? What on earth where we thinking when we paid ALF's wages for 6 months last season? Why get a real coup in like Lennon (at the time anyway) when there were much cheaper options like Jimmy Phillips? The list goes on the further you go back Think the answer is that everyone associated with the club from board down wanted us to invest in on field resources to avoid relegation and turn around our furtunes (including the fans). However only a few people know the breakdown of the player contracts and projections for the accounts and they should have budgeted for us to be in line with projected income even if it meant certain relegation even before now. However as supporters you have to be honest with yourself and say if you'd have been happy if the club pulled the plug a couple of years back and stopped investing. It's easy to say yes now but at the time there would have been uproar.
  5. All about Clough if we are going to make a fight of it Let's hope we can pay him and he doesn't walk for nothing - he'd be one of only a few that get snapped up
  6. I'm Not 100% but I'm sure someone said we had mortgages against this seasons parachute money in a previous season
  7. It's high time we tried on of these kids that have been banging them in for the development squad Just nothing to lose at all now

  13. I'd have thought the hotel would have washed its own face and made a small contribution to boot, purely assumption Did de Veres make it work or they fuck it off because it was a dead rubber? I can't remember the details
  14. Not sure if it is good news (if it's true) The part about finding alternative finance quickly being remote I think that might mean that the current set of suitors have been found out for what they are - a bunch of tyre kickers without a pot to piss in If so then we are at the good will of ED again and how many more months he wants to put another £1m of his own in to pay the current players No war chest in Jan, no striker, certain relegation
  15. Just picked the Mrs up from the NQ Was like a scene out of saving private Ryan in town - bodies everywhere
  16. Think so I've had it installed before at a new flat and it came before the broadband went in Think the only issue was ordering films on box office through the remote - had to call them up That was a few years back though so may have changed
  17. I was considering going onto the allowance as you can make a few quid out of it if you do it right However, shit like this puts you right off Ring a number, sign your signature and your away - worth its weight in gold
  18. I bet it will, it won't be getting cubed and shipped to China It's a 2 year old M sport with 40k on the clock Got to be some profit in butting it, cleaning it and selling it It's up to the insurer I suppose, fuck them, I'll pick another off the company car list
  19. Ha ha - that's what my gaffer said They can't get many going through Evian can they, must all be written off I don't think they even got the bonnet up the way he was talking about it
  20. Just had a look and seems your correct pal, found this BBC piece from Deloittes... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-32931345 Interesting read too - 14 of 20 making a pre tax profit although the 20 clubs together made £180m profit based on £3.2b turnover so it's circa 5% It goes on to say championship clubs spend £520m on wages alone vs £490m in total turnover - the £30m overspend was probably us :-) P.s also found this talk sport piece showing ten of the clubs in large ammounts if debt http://talksport.com/football/revealed-top-10-premier-league-clubs-most-debt-150618149584?p=9 Some in there I wasn't expecting - more evidence that these 'debts' to owners aren't worth a carrot
  21. That was from Years a go that mate
