  1. "One half of Milli Vanilli's public-facing duo, Fab Morvan, said he will also perform as scheduled. The voices behind Milli Vanilli's music said in a statement on X that they will not be performing." This is piss funny.

    Wordle 1,805 5/6 🟨⬛⬛⬛⬛ ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ 🟨⬛🟩🟩⬛ 🟩⬛🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Bit embarrassed about my penultimate guess. 😳😳😳
  3. Interested to see what loans we get in next season. We have a pretty good reputation, Trafford and Bradley have certainly developed because of us. So would hope being in the championship we can attract a decent level of youth to help us next year. 30 goal striker woild be ideal.
  4. Have to wait for the roadrunner video release i`m afraid.
  5. Thats a bit dramatic. The average rate of inflation over the past century is about 4.5% and since the 90s 2.5 so not really catastrophic.

I got it but for the life of me can't think what your last word actually was. Bobys i can.
  9. And the only place to buy a mango is Pete Beales market stall
  10. Yes, local politics can be messy and disruptive at times. No, that does not give councillors the power to control public health science or vaccination policy. Nationally though it does, and if that`s what we vote for in a democracy then that is what we will get, but that is another discussion.
  11. They can call all the applications they want in and debate them. They must still have a lawful planning reason to approve or refuse them. If they don`t then the will get overturned on appeal for which the Local Authority will incur costs. What they can do is dictate the planning policy and local plan but again, this takes a lot of time and money as well as political will.
  12. I see no evidence that Councillors, even a majority party or leader of the council can direct or overrule public health officials or vaccination policy. "You might as well put a homeopath in charge of running A&E. " The council funds the fire service, but Councillors don`t tell them how to out out fires.
  13. Not much they can deliver on though. What they can do is look at policy and set budgets, both long term and strategic with no immediate gains. What they immediately do is act as a "voice for residents" and act as a conduit between officers and the public. What could get tricky is if they start a public slanging match, like our successive governments seem to like doing with the civil service.
  14. Agreed. I am sure plenty have been surprised and relieved about how little they actually matter or influence.
  15. Ryan`s in for a bit of a shock when he finds out their is nothing he can do about planning and carrying out roadworks. In fact I`m not sure he can do anything about the local issues that he raises.
  16. To be fair, Getting Obama`s deal didn`t make Trump and his friends a shit load of money.
  17. That would have been brilliant to be honest.
  18. Its very very old and the lacks an atmosphere, water and a molten core so you don't get erosion or plates moving which change the landscape.
  19. Same as here I think.
  20. Just wait till Iran take this to American soil which they inevitably will. Its going to run and run.

I want to know why everyone but Peter Crouch is refusing to do adverts these days. Poor lads trying to shift everything on his own.
  22. Actually. I don't think Trump or Farage are fascists because that implies they have some sort of ideology. They don't. But that doesn't stop them having the traits of a fascist.
  23. I wasn't, but since you brought it up and I've though about it I am.
  24. You get an amazing sense of power and control posting several posts at once
  25. And this is how these may relate to MAGA and other groups which is not what I intended, but since I started reading this again after a few years I thought i would undertake the exercise. Because I have a lot of work to do and I am always looking for an excuse not to do it. 1. The cult of tradition - Its in the name "Make America Great Again" 2. Rejection of modernism - Resistance to modern regulations protections for example ECHR. Not trump but I am sure we can find an example. 3. Action for actions sake - He is certainly impulsive. 4 Disagreement is treason - See everyone who has ever disagreed with him 5. Fear the difference - Build the wall 6. Frustrated middle class - Front page of yesterdays daily mail was something like "the middle class will pay". Again not trump but I am sure examples could be found 7. Obsession with the plot - QAnon 8. The enemy is both too strong and too weak - They are going to Nuke everyone or we have destroyed them in two weeks. 9. Pacifism is trafficking with the enemy - His diplomatic efforts seem to involve a lot of military threats and actions (see 3) 10 Contempt for the weak - I support winners not losers. 11. The hero narrative - Storm the capital 12. Machismo and Weaponry - Our thoughts and prayers. 13. Selective populism - My words represent working people 14. Newspeak - MAGA I am sure if I could be bothered you could link these to pretty much every party of every colour, but it is clear that politics at the moment bears a resemblance to what one observer thought went on in Italy and Germany nearly a century ago, and more so than when he wrote it 35 years ago
