  1. Pardon.

Lots of similarities to Killing Eve. If you liked that you will likely enjoy it.
  3. So to calm the markets they are now going to show the working out. At the end of November. It really is a shit show.
  4. I think we can now categorically blame Brexit for our current predicament, we took back control and gave it to a bunch of cunts.
  5. Shockingly both of these can now borrow more cheaply than we can.

How did you watch this? £2.50 an episode on Amazon.
  7. To get in the top 0.1-1% you need to earn about 100k the average are on about 150k. The removal of the top rate has little impact on them, it's the top 0.1% that stand to benefit the most.
  8. Is that trickle-down economics?
  9. To be honest if Labour had done this then I think everyone would have been in a state of shock, this is old school Conservative policy. No labour supporter, old or new, would expect these sorts of policy announcements.

Music festival in the town a couple of weekends ago seems to have been a super spreader event. I know 6 who got it, probably more as the six all work from home so are happy to test.
  11. People are now queuing to join the queue.
  12. Not really advocating 16 years, I don't really have a solution. It's more the short term-ism of it all at the moment not being conducive to making difficult decisions.
  13. I do wonder if we need to address the whole democratic system. Four year cycles in the age of the internet is encouraging sound bites and populism to the detriment of the county. 4 prime minister's in 6 years is just plain crazy. If the Tories had had 16 years from the start they would have made some very different choices, many I would not have agreed with but I'm sure we would be in a better place.
  14. Back in the chip fire danger zone.
  15. He lives in Winchester, who has a chip pan on Winchester.
  16. Just returned from 14 days on Ile De Re which was great but everything is so expensive. Not sure if it's a post Covid thing or cost of living but I don't remember eating and drinking in France costing this much, London prices plus a bit more.
  17. 0.62 is very good, especially if it was for the full window. Put it into perspective it's a good as a wall built before the 1990s and crudely, twice as good as the minimum bregs requirements.
  18. What material are your frames going to be? If you are looking at U-Values try and get the full window rather than centre pane and make sure whoever installs them puts insulating material around the outside and seals it properly. No point having top notch windows if they are pissing out heat all around the edge.
  19. It is going to be interesting that the leader has less than half the parliamentary party behind her. Even taking into account the sycophants who will fall in line it is clear that quite a few dissidents will be sniping from the back benches and making it as difficult as possible. Johnson cleared these out, and more, by calling an election so she may be tempted as I very much doubt Sunak etc. will run again.
  20. Lots of talk that new leader bounce may be the best way to secure another term. Throw money at people for the cost of living crisis which you can blame on Ukraine and Covid, blame previous regime for anything slightly contentious and still close enough to May administration to blame any big stuff on that.
  21. I think it's the Rees Mogg as being in charge of levelling up that makes me think someone is pulling out collective plonkers.
  22. Looking like. Truss - PM Kwartang - Chancellor Braverman - Home Sec Cleverly - Foreign Office. Other jobs touted for Ian Duncan Smith, Rees Mogg but also John Redwood which is surely a joke. Certainly diverse in one sense but not in an ideological one.
  23. Number one bonus according to the government website is that the NZ UK trade deal helps with levelling up. "It will provide benefits to people throughout the country" Surely that should be a given and not the first and foremost benefit of a comprehensive trade agreement.

Chelsea lad told me its £11 for a pie at Stamford Bridge.
