  1. I'd be surprised if he was happy to sit on the bench.
  2. If Ali is to be #1 then we'll need to tie him to a new deal and bump up his wages. In which case, I'm not sure keeping him and Jussi makes financial sense. Naturally, if Jussi doesn't want to go then nobody can force him out - but two keepers on first team wages is just more debt on the mounting pile of debt. Loaning out Bogdan could do him the world of good though.
  3. I'd rather have Johansson.
  4. So we have three keepers, two of whom are experienced at this level and people want to spend millions on a new 'keeper? Seriously? As to not renewing if Jussi plays next season......if that's enough to stop you renewing then good luck to you; time for you to go and support Utd.
  5. Terrible away form, but our home form is the best in our Premier League history. You can say "if our home form slips we'll go down", fine. That's probably true, but then if Spurs' home form drops they might go down. Coyle's job is to maintain our home form whilst improving our away form. If he can't do that, then he'll probably get the sack. However, if he can then we'll back up challenging for Europe next season. Coyle's home record gives him something to build on. If people would rather sack him because it "might" go wrong next season then what can you say? We probably shouldn't sign Sturridge because he might not score goals. You don't sack a manager before he's failed to do something because he 'could' fail. It's a ridiculous idea.
  6. It's Coyle's job to make this kind of decision. Neither Jussi nor Ali will be willing to sit on the bench, so it's a straight pick. The grass isn't always greener though. Ali seems to be seen by a lot of Bolton fans as the second coming, but he makes numerous errors; just as Jussi does. Ali has had the better season, but if people are expecting Peter Schmeichel with a tan then they may be disappointed.
  7. Now that I think about it, 'Dave' was an odd name for a bird.
  8. I dated a woman who was 6ft. Long legs have their advantages.
  9. He's also in rehab more than Kate Moss....allegedly. As to Ireland, I still think he can be a top player - but I'm finding these rumours regarding Pratley and McCann quite convincing. If they're true, I can't see us signing another central mid. We could get both for considerably less than Ireland would cost, and we're probably on a tight budget.
  10. I think "Jussi sucks" was meant in a different way to how you took it.
  11. Doesn't change that Lennon is a twat though. Just not sure his worst crime is wearing gloves.

  13. Na, I'm sick at the minute so I'm killing time.
  14. One with cold hands?
  15. He's a utility player and as such is a useful guy to have around the place; though I don't rate him as a first team regular. We need to add depth all over the pitch, but I just don't get why Alonso being gone (assuming he will be) wouldn't be a problem. Every player we need is a drain on limited resources.
  16. Maybe she should have used that energy to get her fat arse to a gym.
  17. Yes he can, but as he is already covering right and centre that's not much help. By that logic, we could go into next season with just a back four and Ricketts and that'd be fine. The fact is, that we have been short of cover as it is, when injuries kicked in. Losing one player means replacing him, as we are already short by one at the back.
  18. That doesn't even make sense. I assume you're saying Alonso was crap; but that doesn't mean we can go into next season with Paul Robinson and no cover.
  19. The first game I can remember was against Bury when we beat them 1-0 in the play-offs. I'd been going for a while before that, but can't really recall the games.
  20. Coyle has said that they have drawn up a list of about 20 players; so it's safe to say that even the manager doesn't know who we're actually going to get. You'd have to guess that Alonso buggered up a few plans, as we now need another leftback. Our financial butter might end up being spread pretty thin.
  21. That's interesting. Do you have a source for that?
  22. We'd better get in there fast before a big club like Morecambe spot him.
