Pedigol out!
-
Interestingly BWFC made the shortlist but weren't chosen. I think it was the amount of big clubs in the vicinity.
-
-
8 hours ahead in Perth so it kicks off in a couple of hours, already playing if you're on the East Coast though.
-
Right on cue prove that no matter what he says some people will find a way to take issue. He said the complete opposite of what is "clear to you".
-
I'm glad the record has been corrected on that. There is enough to criticise at the moment, much of it justified, but he shouldn't be getting grief for words presented in a different context to the intended. Good on Evatt for setting the journo straight.
-
Everyone knows population size is the key metric.
-
When are you going to realise that you're arguing with yourself? Maybe go for a walk or something.

Kneel before Zog!
-
I'm glad I'm the sort who is generally optimistic and hopeful that things will work out. There's some on here that have just had Christmas ruined for them. To paraphrase a famous quote ' accept what you cannot change'.
-
Dry your eyes mate, he's not getting sacked. It doesn't matter how angry the prolific posters on a forum are. Time to cross fingers, hope for the best and enjoy the rest of the season as best we can.
-
Midwit, nice word. I don't think Sharon lacks intelligence though.
-
Well my opinion has recently switched to time for a change but my opinion, as well as everyone else's opinion on here, counts for nothing in the grand scheme of things and the opinions that count are sticking, as I suspected they would. Cue the outrage from the vocal on here who thought it was a done deal.
-
Again, we weren't asleep we just looked at the same evidence and thought he could turn it around. I agree that looking back we can say that it's been bad for a year, I could counter with we were within spitting distance of the top two right until the end last season but you won't acknowledge that because you were right and we were sleeping happy clappers. I agree it's time for a change but it doesn't mean I'm stood by your side. Also I don't think we'll get pasted on Friday and get turned over by Barnsley and if we do I won't be gleefully anticipating a "late Christmas gift". I believe it's time for a change but I don't believe we'll get one. Imagine singing 'Ian Evatt's Super White Army' as we win on the last day of the season to get promoted! I'd be delighted, would you?
-
I have to take issue with this and think "waking up to his bullshit" is not an accurate characterisation of myself and, I suspect, others who now accept it is time for a new approach after supporting Evatt. I feel he has gone stale in the role despite giving it everything. I'm actually quite upset that I've come to that conclusion and I think others may be also. Not wishing to speak for others but I believe many of us are a long way from joining you and the others who view Evatt this way.
-
Haha thanks, well after I left Blighty and I've never seen it.
-
Any chance of an explanation? I haven't a clue on that reference.
-
Could be ripping him a new arsehole or handing him a festive Cadbury Favourite.
-
I'd genuinely have no idea what Rioch win percentage was, I know he was the better manager though.
-
I agree which is why I've finally accepted that it's time to change. I know it will be the same players but I'm sure that managed differently they would behave differently. Someone asked would Rioch or Big Sam have lost 3 consecutive home games against Wigan with an aggregate score of 0-10, of course not. Those managers knew how to get the best out of players, we need the 2020s equivalent.
-
How can he really be using a better than 50% win rate as a measure of his tenure? Claiming it makes him one of our most successful managers, when everyone knows he would have a worse win ratio of we were establishing ourselves in the Championship, which would obviously mean he had achieved more. He needs to be more honest with himself, I'm sure winning better than 50% of matches but failing to get out of League 1 was not what he wanted to be his legacy.
-
I've been unable to shake this today and keep wondering where Evatt's non negotiables went to? The pride in being the fittest side around, it's all gone. What about those high tempo performances that ripped sides apart? Gone. The goals that featured every player in a precision front to back sweeping move? Gone. Yesterday was absolutely unforgivable and nothing like the side Evatt built in his first few years. I'm sure there is a side in these players, maybe a 442 or a 433 or a 4312.
-
I've lost belief now. Good managers make a team greater than the sum of its parts. That team is absolutely less than the sum of its parts. I don't think there is anything Evatt can do now. Thanks Ian but it's time for a new approach.

Seems to care and have tried. Not much came off but he wouldn't be one of the first in the queue for criticism.
