Petrov, Holden, Sturridge, Wilshire, Ream, Reo- Coker?

He is one for the future and had to be bought in January or the chance was gone.Other clubs invest in young players and send them out on loan, other managers such as Ferguson and Dalglish sometimes pay ?30 million for strikers who aren't even worth a start.I wouldn't get fixated about a tiny amount of money for a striker who might yet make a good contribution to the club.

We have 6 away wins this season which is extremely good for a club that spends the amount of money Bolton do.

Alex Ferguson has said similar things about Manchester United when they have only drawn at home and need a win away.Some teams are better going for it than sitting back defending.It makes perfect sense to me.

His top priority in January was a centre half because the Chairman had let Cahill's contract run down and was desperate to sell and with Muamba and Pratley available in central midfield it was possible we could stay up without a Prem standard attacking midfield player.If Ream and Wheater had both got injured rather than Muamba and Pratley he'd be getting criticism for not signing more defenders, that's how it goes.

His first season Wilshire on a free in that position was the difference, last season Holden for next to nothing was the difference.This season he hasn't been able to pull a similar rabbit out of the hat.But at the end of the summer transfer window Holden was only a couple of weeks from returning.

Mark Davies is probably the worst "best" attacking central midfield player we have had in the Premier League. We went down once with Curcic and once with Frandsen/Alan Thompson who were all better players in my opinion.Central midfield is where most games are won and lost.

The only reason people are suggesting Vela starts is because almost all the central midfield players we have are injured.IF Reo- Coker is another casulty then we only have Mark Davies who can only play in a 5 according to some.That's how bad it is.Coyle has been critised for not picking a 5 man midfield .If Vela isn't good enough then who the fuck should play in the 5 man midfield when Pratley,Sean Davis,Holden,Muamba,Gardner and Reo Coker are all on the payroll but unavailable?

One possible advantage we have is the boardroom and management at both Stoke and WBA know that it will be easier for them to stay up next season if Bolton rather than big spenders QPR are in the Premier League.

I cannot see us beating West Brom with what we have got and what they have got.If the game was being played at the Hawthorns we'd have more chance of winning. Because we are so rank awful at home,I would take a draw now and bank on beating Stoke and QPR losing at City.Our "strength" if we have one is the defence and it's away from home where that tells. I disagree that the midfield and strikers mentioned in the first post is good enough to beat West Brom at home.They have a better midfield and strikers than we do.

24,000 to 18,000 last time we were relegated for a declining team that scraped into the play offs and lost. We are likely to have a better team than then next season.We didn't have our best 2 players out all the season we went down.

We didn't lose anything like half the crowd the other two times we were relegated from the Prem.When next season starts we are likely to have a better team with Holden,Lee and Vela available. I can see the place being happier and only a bit more empty than now.
