Feels like a defeat today. We seem to read from the same script most games, dominate teams and not score whilst at the same time have a soft under belly from a defensive point of view. The mistake from Bonham is without doubt a howler but at the same time, we should be out of sight by then and he also pulled off a blinder of a save after that. As much of a howler it is from Bonham, I thought Sheehan was miles off it today and he contributed to the mistake by the way he demands the ball and the way we go through him relentlessly. I feel Bonham doesn’t make that pass to any other midfielder. As soon as that 1st went in, the subs should have been made. I feel Dempsey and Apter should have both come off at that point. 2 more points dropped. The only positive I look at is that our run in is against the top teams where we seem to do better than against the crap in this division

I’ve calmed down now. You are right to be fair. We should be happy with League 1

It matters because you said it did. You said they want all the money back that they have invested. If they were good owners they wouldn’t have spent £600k on Victor who has never done it anywhere else before Burton and turned down £1m as widely reported for only to let him go on a free in terms on fee that was paid. They spent £1.2m on a player for a manager that was let go a week later. That isn’t a decision of a board that knows what it is doing. If you don’t agree we aren’t doing as well as expected then that’s the problem. We have spent millions in the last 2 years but we have ended up with the likes of McAtee, Randall, N’lundulu but because FV have put the money in to sign them then FV must have made the right decision. You can argue and single out all you like but we all want us to do well. If we were doing well, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

They have pumped money in but unfortunately there’s nothing to show for it from a playing staff point of view. In terms of investment, unless you can tell me where FV have spent money and recouped the outlay with a positive income that out weighs what they have spent, I’m struggling to agree with your opinion

I wanted it to work so much for SS, but the last 2 months has been an utter shit show. As much as SS has to shoulder the blame, the players really aren’t helping his cause. Has he lost the dressing room? Probably after them 1st half subs but the players have been utter gash for weeks now. The blame for me lies with Sharon and the board and it was highlighted this week with Victor. We have spent so much on utter crap with the previous regime and yet we haven’t truly backed this regime from a net profit point of view. With everything that went on with Evatt and the ongoing mistakes with the playing squad, I’m now getting to the point where we have to say thanks to Sharon for saving us but good riddance

This was always going to be a long term overhaul for any manager after IE. He set us back years and whilst some won’t necessarily agree, I genuinely think SS will need 3/4 windows to sort this out. Look at this seasons best performers, none are players that IE brought in. Unfortunately SS is going to make mistakes with recruitment and this is why it will take time. Look at TSL for instance, he has been poor so far. He came in on loan from Chelsea on the back of a promotion season and has been a colossal failure. Look at Dalby, hard to judge him fully on the time he has played but he has been terrible so far. He came in with a reputation as a target man and he struggles to just do the basics. We all want success but unfortunately this team isn’t good enough and unless we have patience then we will be on the managerial merry go round before we know it and have to start the rebuild all over again.

A shocking result, it can’t be dressed up in any other way. This is the first result I’ll put on Schumacher. No other team in the country drop back the league’s top scorer to accommodate another striker who turns out to be rubbish. We should be 2-0 up and that penalty would never have been a thing if Dalby had put away his 2nd sitter of the match. Morley had another game where he was non existent. Simons struggled for the first real time this season. Not putting any real money into the defence that shipped 70 last season is criminal. We go again on Thursday but I fear the season is done already which is depressing. Last thought is thank god Dalby was injured at the start of the season as we may never have signed Burstow.

You wanted facts, unfortunately facts are stats

I get where you are coming from but to me, he shows more effort than Randall
-
Lincoln City (H)
So let’s compare Randall to Burstow Randall made 0 successful dribbles Burstow made 1 successful dribble Randall had 1/6 successful duels, so kept the ball 16% of the time Burstow had 6/11 successful duels, so kept the ball 54% of the time Just comparing Burstow who you said was dispossessed more than Randall, with facts as you wanted Just for the record, Duberry and Cissoko kept the ball 44% of the time compared to Randalls 16%

I get that, but McAtee shows some effort for me. Randall on the other hand never has and never will. He is dispossessed multiple times in a match when everyone is screaming pass. He is a poor player that will see out his contract and leave on a free because no one will ever want him unless subsided by us. I wanted him to do well like every player. If every player does well for us, we have a good season but he is one of the reasons we won’t do well this season. He plays in such an important position in this system and provides fuck all. Again, only my opinion. The fee is absolutely relevant. When you sign a player for money and big money for us, you expect him to deliver some aspect of quality. Victor is on par with Randell aswell, if you are bought for big money, as was Victor, who was the biggest money signing of the last decade, then you have to deliver. Let’s hope he becomes as impactful as you suggest he is because we will all be happy as he will score and assist goals left right and centre.
