  1. aye, its the London Whites Xmas piss up - they will join forces with the East Midlands Whites (me) for that one
  2. Like I say, the implication was that its not just that Browny wants to go but that the club want him to... As for the Toon job I dont know why he didnt do it in the end; but following him abroad and badgering him in the hotel does sound like illegal moves to me. Mind you, they all do it. EG actually went, so I'm sure she can provide further gossip...
  3. Let's just say they appear to anticipate Browny's career progressing elsewhere. Oh and they're going for the FA Cup. And Sam was up for Newcastle; and they were so up for him that they tapped him up in Spain even after he'd rejected them.
  4. what the fcuk is a "dribble %". Sounds very dodgy
  5. According to Gartside at the London Whites meeting on friday Brown is most deffo not the man

  7. Campo had loose lips after the Speed clash until the surgeon fettled them.
  8. $5million! He'll think twice about wading in next time. That's a proper fine, not like the pathetic 2 weeks wages rules in the Prem. well the interesting thing there is that a ban from playing means a ban from getting paid....could be summat to be said for that all round. Red card for violent conduct and the three match ban would mean you dont get paid for 3 weeks - end of. 9 months for not taking a drugs test means you dont get paid for those 9 months; BUT you could also introduce a rule which says that the salaries go into some sort of general fund for whatever. So the clubs loose out as well. Actually we should go one further and just give a Champions League place to the team with fewest reds in the last 12 months, goalkeepers not counted I'll get me passport
  9. it took the entire interval just to get to the bogs never mind use them - there were certainly a lot of verbal grief given to the stewards if nowt else.
  10. You have a PayPal, pal.
  11. From Pompey Rivals site: .... Big Bolton and England fan known to quite a few Pompey fans sadly passed away last week, his funeral was yesterday. I can only say that he would have been chuffed to bits with the send off he received .... Westie, Fingers and several others came up in a mini bus, left Pompey at 4am....... and there were fans from other clubs too. When I got to the wake, held in Astley Bridge Conservative Club in Bolton, there were about 100 people in the bar. I met up with a couple of mates who had earlier been to the service and crem and had a couple of pints with them. My mate Critch said ' have you been upstairs yet, come on'. So went upstairs to the function room and there must have been another 600 / 700 people there, most if not all in Bolton, England or club colours. A fine sight! On stage there was a huge St George flag with Bolton Wanderers across it, and a signed England shirt. Westie was already up on the tables, getting everybody going. '' We love you ferny'' We love you Bolton'' God save the Queen'' and not a ner ner der ner or badly played bugle in sight. There were some brilliant Bolton terrace ditty's dating back to the 70's, including 'Born to be a Wanderer' and 'Bolton Fusilier' and a few others I hadn't heard before. Westie and the Pompey lads were due to leave at 7pm to come home, so shortly before this a guy got on stage and a toast was raised to Ferny, another incredible sight this with 600/700 pints raised in the air. Anyway this guy on stage says a special thanks to the Pompey lads for coming and to huge applause the Bolts break into a superb chorus of the Chimes, it was absolutely brilliant. Tears were never far away yesterday and this brought a huge lump to the throat, mine anyway. So Westie and the Pompey lads say their goodbyes, into the Bolton night and into the first snows of winter. 30 minutes later, Westie is back on his own. ''What are you doing back here'' ''It's Ferny innit'' and with a shrug of the shoulders and to cheers from the crowd he was back up on the tables. Sad day, very sad but a good day for the human race and for football fans in particular. RIP Ferny.....

  16. fuckin hell frank ...you should have been on the paddock 80's early 90's pot-kettle black (excuse the pun) Aye, I remember bananas getting lobbed from the Paddock, the works - late 70s onwards. Mind you I remember thinking at the time that if some of the little scrotes felt that strongly about it perhaps they'd like to go and do it to big Cyril Regis face to face! To quote our absent MP from a similar thread a while back - and lets face it he's not one to jump on a pc bandwagon! - "I dont want to take my daughter to the game and have her sit next to a grown man making monkey noises". Not for the first time he's summed it up pretty well. What annoys me is: a) how yet again activities by non England fans are passed off as cultural problems when you know damn well that if we did it we'd get crucified. Lob flares round, hit refs with lighters, attack innocent fans, make monkey noises etc etc ultimately never seems to attract the wrath of the authorities unless it happens here or with England fans abroad. how the hairiest nation on Earth can have the gall to take the piss out of someone with monkey noises! Remember Manolo the drummer The resemblance is startling if you ask me. Deffo pots calling kettles black!
