trains in and out of Bolton are delayed, a lad is threatening to jump off the bridge onto the tracks between Morrisons and the Griffin
-
they've always had a very good away following, and they've only won 1 of their last 10 matches at Bolton
-
perhaps When he's trying to be upbeat , it's better to avoid the fact that we've had the worst start to a season for 115 years, are on a worse run than Crystal Palace and have just lost at Villa for the first time in 4. I've a funny feeling if we were breaking records for outstanding achievements rather than failure he would be more "interested"
-
It's an amazing statistic that 11 games into the season the attacking play is so weak that we've not been ahead in a game once. Some clubs would bring in an attacking coach to help the manager but in my opinion if the manager doesnt have the knowhow to open teams up then he should be replaced. "Working their socks off" as Parky claims they are doing is a minimum requirement but not enough on its own for me. People who applauded them for keeping the score down at Bristol and Aston villa no doubt disagree. It'll be interesting to see Ken's opinions on the latest defeat on the club website after he shared his thoughts on the Brentford and Bristol losses.Henry was brought in to add steel he said, i am interested to what his plans are to add creativity and goals.

having lost 8 in a row without scoring a goal parky couldn't have too many complaints really.
-
Just reading a match report of one of the glory nights under Sam at Villa Park, i'd forgotten Gavin McCann got sent off for Villa for hitting Emerson Thome! and Jlloyd scored their second to get them within a goal I was on tele me at the end on the front row celebrating, happy memories

You missed the lowest point in Bolton's history in terms of league position then, that came with defeat at Darlington in 87/88
-
Ask Lee on Twitter, they sold him
-
Then you are in denial about how utterly pathetic the current Bolton team is.The only thing that keeps Bolton up this season is huge wages being paid to 5 or 6 new quality players to carry the rest of the shite
-
Did Eddie say why he blamed Ken for the embargo
-
That stat goes back to 81/82 when 3 points for a win was brought in
-
kinell. In terms of shitness i'd forgotten that world beaters Derby got 11 points the season Al Habsi kept us up at Middlesbrough! One win out of 38!!
-
when was the last time a 2nd tier team ended the season with 20 points or less?
-
Not a chance lad This pile of shit was so poor in attack they drew 0-0 at home with garbage like Chesterfield and Bury in promotion battles! Not a chance these are winning enough games to finish 4th bottom. Its more likely to be a historically shite season, this could well be the worst team to play at 2nd tier level in decades There is arguably not one player in midfield or attack who would get a game at the vast majorty of 2nd Div clubs
-
This pile of shite is beyond the manager now, 2 points from 10 games speaks for itself, the job is too much for Parky. Only the owner can sort this pile of shit out by paying for better staff.
-
Aye, that wasn't a "very difficult" 9 matches, there isn't an easy set of fixtures to come
-
In terms of position in the league ladder yes, but there was never a season in the 80s that was a complete write off as early as september like this one is.both our relegations in 83 and 87 went to the final day so we were at least competitive
-
That was apparantly the lowest total of any team in the 2nd tier since 3 points for a win was introduced in the early 1980s.I thought Cambridge did far worse than that when they were in freefall but they managed 24 points in 83/84
-
I think this season's record for the worst ever start will last a long time.
-
Having a wank football team reduces the enthusiasm for one, Urmston has always been a "posh" suburb that lads from the likes of Stretford and Eccles aspire to.Copying the likes of Chorlton and Didsbury by adding a few sit out bars and restaurants will work for Urmston but is not a stick to beat Cliff with because regenerating Bolton town centre is a far tougher ask
-
I was shocked to see Brentford are even money to win away at Bolton, Fred Done must think Bolton are even worse than I do! 1-1 or 2-2
-
it's a great idea to have eating places overlooking the Town Hall Square, its a pleasant view of one of the most impressive Town Halls in the country. Developers are always going to be interested in building new flats in town, build them for 40k a pop and sell them for double, nice work if you can get it, the doubt is whether the flat buyers would make anything selling them on. The new Londis is another step in the right direction catering for the legal eagles in that area and the posh students in the nice flats above The Bar. I passed through town at 8.45pm and was surprised that the newsagents in the new bus station was still open and the new shop on Great Moor St was as well. And Morrisons was open till 10.

I heard a surprising and pleasing fact on the radio this morning. Liverpool have only won one trophy (a League Cup) in the last 11 years. it seems Mr Klopp is good for carrying on this barren run
-
Good point there Tombwfc. Back in 2001 when we were newly promoted and had the lowest wage bill in the Premier League, we somehow managed to beat both Man Utd and Liverpool. There has been no such overachievement from Parky The financial advantage Derby and Leeds have over us is huge but i would think (know) is less than the advantage Man Utd and Liverpool had over us in 2001.
