And Derby's world beaters are getting beat 2-0 at Sheffield United
-
I think City are going to have to sign Messi at the very least, if the plan is to win the major trophies playing the "barcelona" way

Leader of bury council There is high-quality retail mixed with leisure, a cinema, bowling and restaurants all within a square mile. Bury’s offer is almost unique and our planning policies deter out-of-town retail. We are ensuring that development is in and around our town centre and it seems to have worked very, very well.” A lesson for Bolton there

I remember having a "chat" with CWP back in the early spring after i had stated it would be no fun in the second tier with the poor team we were turning out.CWP asked if i wanted us to be promoted. If i knew then what the summer transfer activity was going to be i'd have been even less enthusiatic about promotion.Even back in 1993, Rioch was given a few quid to strengthen a better team after promotion. This is just pathetic and I can't see a change of manager changing anything, bar the miracle of Sam fancying the challenge
-
The current team has less quality than that one, that one had Clough, this one has fuck all in the attacking positions.
-
Leeds have had 13 years out, Derby have had 9 years out. It's all right saying we've no chance against the recent Prem teams but when Leeds and Derby are miles too good for us we're fucked
-
Nowt any manager can do with Div 3 players and no money.
-
I don't know if their city centre is any better but their football team is .I'll be very happy if we get a point

Some interesting points, particularly that the regeneration of Manchester is being driven by more people living in the city centre. 25 years ago Ancoats for example was a dump, no successful professionals would want to live there but now its got trendy converted mills and hipster cafes. Hopefully more people living in Bolton town centre will increase the need for shops and leisure activities.Even more students is better than nothing, areas of Preston city centre have benefited from the student pound. There is a need for more office jobs in the town centre, the thought behind attempting to keep the likes of Asons in town is correct An interesting thought that Bury town centre is luckier than Bolton because it has affluent north manchester suburbs of Prestwich and the like close to it rather than Little Hulton.Other than its market i don't really think Bury is any better than Bolton. The new area of shops on the Rock is too far from the bus station for many pensioners to walk

I think people want to look at Kenny rather than Parky. It's almost irrelevant who the manager is given the budget there is to work with
-
Mooy and Alonso both winning goalscorers and man of the match.
-
Well, we were relegated in a season he appeared in over half our league fixtures.I recall we were 4th from bottom at the time of the Tottenham match, perhaps he was the difference who knows
-
Muamba played 5 seasons in the Premier League, one relegation with Birmingham and one relegation with Bolton.
-
I think you are deluded in thinking there might be as many as 6 teams worse than Bolton. The only 4 teams Bolton can finish above are already the other teams in the bottom 5. I think its more likely to be a horrific season than a "heroic" finish above Barnsley. Burton and Barnsley have already won one which worries me they are better sides.
-
2 home games in, relieved we are only 2 down at half time in both of them. I don't think this team is any better than what we got relegated with.
-
An injury to Roger means that Rafa will be the world number one next week. It looked as though 20 year old Zverev might be the next "star" to come through in his victory over Roger, but now knowing Roger was injured maybe not.
-
are Sheffield up to much? I seem to remember them all crying because a Bolton lad put one of theirs on the deck outside Bramhall Lane last season.
-
I hate Liverpool more than any other team, them not beating Watford was the highlight of the weekend.I'd rather this rich bloke buy Wolves a Premier League title than Liverpool win one.
-
Stinks up markland hill as well
-
Fair play to Parky, bounced back from that shite first half against Leeds with a result.
-
His absences due to injury mean either Roger or Rafa is certain to be No 1 before the end of August.
-
Got beat against Fleetwood, Stoke and Leeds with him.
-
I don't see a great deal of improvement from the team we got relegated with, the fighting spirit couldn't be faulted but morale and fighting spirit is likely to drop when the defeats pile up. It's not a surprise given the budget Parky has to work with. Didledee makes a good point that it wasn't our best team, if Parky hadn't signed Morais we'd still be in the 3rd division, but Leeds were so much better when it mattered i think we'd still have lost at full strength.
-
Fully agree.Anybody who thought Sam's last season "wasn't good enough for Bolton" will have had some huge disappointments in the 10 years since
-
I thought Sky's coverage of the Open was the shittest ive ever seen. The annoying adverts aside there were some "trendy" long distance camera shots where you couldn't see if the putt was going in.
