  1. when you reach a certain age, thankfully a lot older than 21, it sinks in that football is all about the money believe me, it's true
  2. It's to stop owner's asset stripping, taking the money and moving on...
  3. Pay to get out of the embargo earlier
  4. Are Millwall still turning out the same team that lost home and away to Bolton last season or have they spent a few quid?
  5. 8 games, 4 in the top half, 4 in the bottom half. Parky had these players as well organised as they can be, there just aren't enough decent 2nd division players in our squad for him to pick. Noone and Morias are probably good enough for the 2nd Div but the central midfield isnt and none of the strikers are.
  6. A sensible and quite attacking team selected by Parky, i'd have been tempted to stick Dervite in minus one attacking player
  7. We paid 500k more for Danny Shittu than Barnsley have ever paid for anyone
  8. perhaps it's just me that doesn't give a flying fuck whether an irrelevant supporters trust is brilliant or terrible at whatever it is they do? Some people seem to care more about a MIckey Mouse supporters group than the wank football team we've got!
  9. Find another reason not to spend money in January, no point we're 15 points adrift, save it for summer etc...
  10. An embargo being lifted a few days after the transfer window closed would be good timing for an owner who didn't want to spend money
  11. has he tried to buy back Clough and Holding?
  12. You are one up on us then, At least the porn dwarfs care about the standard of team you turn out in the league...
  13. We've not lost at home to these since 1977 in the league apparantly, but they won here in the FA Cup when Meggo rested Anelka and a few others. I think Sheffield United are lower payers and lower quality than Boro, Leeds and Derby and we'll draw.
  14. I think this must be the worst 2nd tier side we've ever had, it's certainly worse than the one that got relegated 18 months ago. Mind you, Ken's sold Clough and Holding and not put a fucking penny into the side since then.
  15. What England need is a serious managerial appointment, Southgate has had one proper job and was sacked by Middlesbrough. I genuinely doubt whether the current England manager is any better than Parky.
  16. I had a look round and was impressed . As well as the Greggs with plenty seating, there's a newsagents and new toilet block. Its been about about a year since Moor Lane had a newsagents and 5 years since any toilets! The view down Newport St precinct looking down to the town hall Square even seemed quite impressive with the work mostly finished and hardly anyone about due to the rain.
  17. 505 bus drivers were treated to a spate of moonies and sunnies by boys and girls at the stop near Heaton library during the mid 1980s. Wait at the bus stop, the driver opens the door and the pants come down etc etc You grow up and don't hear about people for 30 years, and then one of the young ladies in question appeared on the BBC news as a criminal defence lawyer a couple of years ago.
  18. I'd say the greatest memory is the Jay Jay Okocha goal and result against bigger spenders and bigger payers West Ham in the them or us relegation decider...albeit a bit more work was needed in the last few games.
  19. The new bus station opens on Sunday, a 4th Greggs for the town centre will be located there
  20. The problem with Ken though is that he'll only pay for a 3rd tier standard midfield and a 3rd tier standard strike force. People who want more for Bolton than a 3rd tier standard football team are going to have a problem with Ken.
  21. Edwin not getting a payout will be the consolation of this season's relegation. Ken wastes a lot of energy on the club website blaming other people for not showing their money. Pot kettle black
  22. it was 99.5% before a ball was kicked tbh.
  23. Can't say I'm worried, there's more important things in life However I'm 99.9% certain we are going down. There is 0.1% chance, there will be a takeover and we'll buy the better players needed to stay up in time. Amoebi and Vela returning from injury won't be enough, we were shite last season with them, couldn't even get the wins at Chesterfield and Coventry with those 2. I think we have such a poor team we'd have a huge struggle on if only one went down.that's a surprise considering Millwall were quite a distance worse than us last season. They must have had a better summer than we did
  24. A big carpet store, A pizza hut and Bensons beds next to Dunelm and Currys. 35 years back you had the likes of Graham Eddlestone's carpet store thriving in the town centre.
  25. Good news from Tranmere where BW are 1 up
