I can just see the newspaper report now, 'Much maligned 80's hairstyle of legendary Bolton Wanderers midfielder, keeps lowly Trotters in second tier',!!!
-
Thanks for the vote of confidence radcliffewhite1...oh you mean THE David Lee!!!
-
Looks like we got well and truly bummed and without the KY Jelly too.
-
Could do with Sheffield United winning too
-
Wouldn't surprise me if most of these azaleas ended up playing. Hold on, to slightly misquote Steve Martin in The Man With Two Brains 'They're not azaleas, they're assholes!!!'
-
Anybody know of there's another Legends match this Year?, need cheering up real horrorshow.
-
If Phil Parkinson had worked for the Imperial Alliance, he'd have been Captain Needa'd ages ago. Parkinson Out!!!
-
Hope the Bolton fans start up a few chants of 'Super John McGinlay',!!!
-
ARSE BISCUITS!!!
-
Foooooooooooking 'ell, this is twisting my melon man!!! Come on you Trotters!!!
-
How's about Allardyce Banks, Taggart and McElhinney for a 'Thou shalt not pass' defence? As for Bolton, not woth a wank!!! Parkinson Out!!!
-
Managed to get Imre Varadi's autograph when I went to see Bolton lose to Derby at home earlier on this season.
-
Judging by recent results Compo and Clegg were playing along-side him too.
-
According to my maths three wins out of five should do it Millwall (h) Nah, Barnsley (a) Doubt it, Wolves (h) Our survey said uh-uuuuuh, Burton (a) Really hope so, Forest (h) Might sneek something.

According to the BBC, a 2-0 win way back in 1981 (Gerry McElhinney and Chris Thompson if anybody's interested) We are bloody awful, and with Barnsley and Birmingham improving slightly we are deep in the brown smelly stuff at the moment.

At least I'm admitting there's a problem, Whilst others continue sailing along that famous Egyptian river. Would like to see somebody like the Cowley brothers take over, as they've done miracles at Lincoln, but would be difficult to prise them away I suppose.
-
Well said my friend, therein lies the problem!!!
-
If you'd bothered to read my earlier comments I said I didn't know. But something needs to be done before we return to the doldrums of 30 ish years ago. If we get relegated, can't see us bouncing back up again like last time. We haven't got any strength in depth.

It seems to be working for Barnsley, Birmingham City (Unfortunately!!!) etc.
-
I agree with you, he's done well with the limited resources he's had to utilise. But think it's time to have some new blood in to give the team a good shake up, inject some faith and belief in the players and come up with a credible back up plan or three.

Re Marc505 To be honest don't know at the moment. Can't think of anybody good enough, desperate enough or maybe stupid enough to take this thankless task on.

As my best mates late dad would've said of this performance "Not woth a wank". And to add insult to injury it was an ex-Bolton player that scored the winning goal, Lukas Fecking Jutkiewicz. We're going to struggle to stay up at this rate, and think that Parkinson's time is up as I dont think he can take the team any further (Apart from down that is) So regretfully for the sake of the club's future I say Parkinson Out!!!

Haven't watched that many matches as a neutral, as I prefer to go see the teams that I really support However in the late 80s I went to see a couple of Heanor Town matches. Had a great ground for a Midlands League team, compared to the one of my hometown club that is.

Hairy muff mate. Thing is that I rely on my mate to drive me around to matches, so has to be a concensus on what matches we go to. Thought the Legends Match would be a good opener as I'd get to see some of the best Bolton had to offer. Bradford looked like a good match on paper as we were both in the top six at the time, but the game was spoilt by Bradford stopping the game every few minutes. Derby match was disappointing too, chose this one as I'm from Nottingham and hoped Bolton would thrash them. Villa was partly to break my away day duck, and visit one of the few original grounds still left in the football league, before they all disappear.
