  1. My guess a Wigan Athletic fan
  2. If I lived nearer to the UOB, would have gone there myself, wearing my Lofthouse 1958 F. A. Cup Final shirt with pride. Happy birthday Lofty.
  3. Feels like the fans are getting truly buttfucked here from all sides, but not in a "Brace yourself and hand me the vaseline" type way either. It's past 5pm, no news of a deal, so what now?. Feels like I'm in limbo here.
  4. Lysdexics of the world untie,!!!
  5. Eeeh, so this 'as nowt to do wi' keeping whippets then, wrong bloody forum,!!!
  6. Probably the best track off Led Zep's last great album (Physical Grafitti), after that they were sketchy at best.
  7. The Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain in Lincoln two years ago. Inspired me to start playing, especially as they didn't play the usual suspect songs (When I'm Cleaning Windows, Tiptoe Through The Tulips etc) and really mixed it up musically. Other honourable mentions are The Counterfeit Stones (Seen them 4 times and they take the piss out of the Stones legend (Marianne Faithfull pestering Jagger to open a Mars bar for her etc.) , but they can really play the music too) and although not musical per se, Roy 'Chubby' Brown, just as fat, filthy and funny as his DVDs.
  8. Not too fussed on the new Godzilla films, though surprisingly I quite liked the Matthew Broderick one. However love the original Toho "Men in badly fitting rubber suits trashing scale models of Tokyo" from the 50s, 60s and 70s, especially the original version of Godzilla, Destroy All Monsters and Son Of Godzilla.
  9. Yes it was, along with the classic little girl hospital phone message ("It's an epidermal haematoma, ha!!!") , the over stringent drink drive test and the stunning looking prostitute with the annoying voice ("Duke of Oyal") to name but a few scenes. Also check out The Jerk, and Roxanne, probably Steve Martin's other two classic movies. Edit: Can't believe I forgot Pointy Birds by John Lillison, the famous one armed poet,!!!
  10. Fair dos to everybody at Coventry who either helped us out or gave us moral support, you're a credit to football.
  11. My local football team Eastwood Town went under 5 years ago for a mere £165,000, a decent Premier League player's weekly wage.
  12. There's a certain irony about your last sentence when you think about it,!!!
  13. How's about Schrodinger's Football Team?,!!!
  14. Honorable Mentions: Our two European Cup teams in the mid 2000s? The Division 3 team that held then beat the mighty Liverpool, at Anfield in the 1993 F. A. Cup?
  15. Although we were second best, a brilliant draw and a fantastic point. Mazel Tov to all the young lads who did all us fans proud. Pluses: First point of the season and we're off the bottom of League 1 Minuses: Seem to be picking up a lot of yellow cards and niggling injuries Come on you Trotters
  16. Not quite, we need to get rid of Parkinson next.
  17. Or Brian Smith, pmsl!!!
  18. Don't know what would be worse, a documentary on cricket or U2, ::lol::!!!
  19. Or the other favorite quote of mine "Look at those assholes" "They're not assholes, they're azaleas"
  20. Check her out in the film Secretary, and set your face to 'Stunned'!!!
  21. How's about The Man With Two Brains "Into the mud, scum queen",!!!
  22. Phantom Of The Paradise, a kind of Glam Rock version of Phantom Of The Opera / Faust, 45 years old and a cult classic along the lines of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Current favorite though is Tommy Wiseau's 2003 disaster piece, The Room, a so-bad-it's-good classic.
  23. First match for me this season will be Coventry City at home... I hope!!!
  24. Had a chat with a guy in my local a while ago who was a Coventry fan and he seemed sympathetic as his club is going through the mill too at the moment. Although we did end up having a heated debate about which fans had got it worse, think I won overall on points though.
  25. We're not THAT desperate surely?
