I only realised at the weekend that Dom Hyam left Ewood & signed for Wrexham. He's a properly good, unfussy centre half who doesn't make mistakes. I have a tenuous link there & was told that he almost doubled is salary. Now, we know Hollywood are chucking money around but it also suggests the purse strings are tight up there.

There is no doubt we have better players, a better squad & producing more entertaining football than last season. There is no doubt that Schuey is a better human being than Evatt. No-one is baying for blood. But 3 wins in 10 (something like 4 in 20 including last season) is not good. It's distinctly mid table ... which is, not coincidentally, where we are. It is improvable & he has people's general favour, but he has to start turning this around. Starting by scoring when we're on top & recognising that Simons & Erhahon should anchor the centre.

Like telling a Bowtoner he's a Manc is 'factually correct'. Leyther's & Athertonian's would far rather have been in Bolton if they couldn't have been a unit, with Worsley & Woggdin, themselves. An unloved forced amalgamation.

I don't disagree. Add it to the poor run at the end of last season & it's shocking tbh. But Wigan was, quite clearly, not a 'one off'.

Think, for example, how during a transfer window names of players I've literally never heard of get thrown around and suddenly it appears other clubs have had 'hidden gems' all along, hidden in full sight. I give you Erhahon for example.
