In my Welsh National League days Corwen FC (aka Clwb Pêl-Droed Corwen) play on a lovely flat pitch on a bend in the River Dee ... which floods every single year between November and early March. So all home fixtures are set in August to October, then late March & April. Maybe we request this.

Or play midweek matches in the afternoon.

Entirely the opposite in my mind. Join a team who did surprisingly well last year & the likely only way is down. He has no pre-existing fans there & he will find it harder to break in. Plus it's Millwall. Not overly predisposed to Fenians. In the expensive Hellhole that is London.

Well, honestly I never expected to win the tournament. Last night's defeat though sums up so much that is wrong in the 'over-thinking it' community of sports coaches. You dominate the first half, score a great goal, all by playing an attacking style. Then, having done that, you change style, go defensive & get thumped.

If he'd mot effectively gone on strike for a year we may feel more positive about him.

I have been amazed at how much assumed superstardom is being hurled around abour Lamine Yamal. The commentators seem to have arrived with praise lists & use it all, even pointing out how close he came to being fantastic if he'd been a tad more fortunate. He was voted 'PoM' v Belgium despite losing the ball 23 times. I'm not saying he won't go on to be a superstar, but he's some way short at the moment.

I have a view, re. Taylor. No insider ITK. could be entirely wrong, but sometimes a player fails a test & gets an extended playing suspension but it's not broadcast to the World. Just wondering out loud. Having missed a year & returning at a higher level he has a task on his hands though.

Tell you what, if you think 99% of people understand the difference between "Head Coach" and 'Manager" you're greatly mistaken. When Bolton were at their very nadir Everton & Stretford waved some loan fees we owed them, I suspect other things too that aren't as well known. There was no need to do that ... not sure why someone wouldn't if able to but it was their gift to us. I'd hope we would do similar if ever in a position to (except for Wigan, obviously).
