I'm not sure we can stabilise in this division, not with the ground we currently have. I have no idea, but the running costs on the stadium, must be huge compared to some (you would hope that is offset by the attendances, but a few more years in this division, and you would expect them to start to slowly drop off)

Same, I gave up a long time ago worrying about the finances of the club, there is little/nothing we can really do about it. Nigh on every club in the country spends beyond there means, and there seems to be no end of mugs willing to keep chucking cash at football clubs. I just want to get out of this division

See, I don't mind that at all.....although, early doors Trevor has put his cards on the table, so as soon as he's "caught" spending money on something frivolous, I'm sure people won't be holding back. I'd like to see more councils take this sort of approach, and save money where they can

My Father-In-Law was an "functioning" alcoholic for years -and he worked in Leatherhead, so he had a 60 mile drive to work around the M25. He'd have to have a couple of glasses of red in the morning (5am) so that he felt OK to drive. During the day, to prevent himself feeling shit, he used to drink little nips of Listerine, so he always had the alcohol, and it kept his breath minty fresh - He was perpetually in a state of trying to fight off a hangover, by remaining permanently pissed. Anyway, he's not had a drink for 7 years now. Looking back, and knowing what we do now, it's amazing how he didn't kill himself or anybody else. Some of the things he did when pissed were very funny though (well, they made me and my Brother-In-Law laugh......not my wife and Sister-In-Law so much though)

The one near to me is supposed to be decent: Wetherspoon Hotels | Biggleswade | The Crown Hotel The only issue that I've seen is when folk arrive at 8pm on a Friday night and try to check in (which is at the bar) - you can imagine, the place is fucking rammed and generally full of pissed up Reform voters, feral families and scrotes drinking jugs of cocktails.......and they're trying to check in and drag their suitcases through the bar and up 3 flights of stairs 😁

I agree - it's going to be most entertaining to watch what happens, and see if Farage/Tice fold under the scrutiny, because they will get it like nobody else ever has

Boris did the same Farage is clearly doing the same at the minute I suspect it's just the way of the world now for all these party leaders - self preservation first and foremost.
