Plane Down- Again
I don't watch any of that gory shite but somehow watched one of a plane crashing at a show Limbs all over the place I imagine this one would be similar It's actually just surreal and less gory than what you can watch at the movies if you're so inclined Would never watch beheadings etc, disgusting

Plane Down- Again
Flights were diverting around east Ukraine immediately afterwards. Unsurprisingly I suppose.

Plane Down- Again
Separatists military leader has taken responsibility. Quite brazen. Said people were warned not to fly over their air space. Russians don't seem to give a fuck these days huh. We shouldn't be twitting about on their doorstep. And there's no way they'll have the states telling them what to do. Can only escalate from here really.

The shame of it Quieter you try to be, louder it is. My bins are kept at the side of the house, between us and next door, so it echoes too

Sleep Paralysis
First of all, it's nothing to worry about, so it bothers you far less when you stop fighting it It only really ever affected me if I had a lie in, went back to sleep after I had got up kind of thing

I do think good teachers are worth a good salary but it's been pointed out already - the good ones DO get a good salary. Trouble is there's rafts of crap teachers in crap schools who never (used to at least) get dealt with. My high school was full of them.

I bet the vast majority of CEOs of major companies have a 'good education'. That's all I'm saying. You (and others) were pointing out the exceptions that prove the rule.

Messi
He was never player of the tournament. He wasn't right though, that was clear. Playing in fits and starts. I bet he's carrying a muscle injury, the hamstring injury he's been plagued by all season probably. Some of the over reaction... 'would rather have Schweinsteiger', 'would he get in the German team' ... fuck me. The lad scored 91 in a calendar year!

Fair play to you. I got a 2.2 due to downright laziness, and being more interested in booze and drugs at the time. I'd love my kids to have the brains and the character to get a first, I really would. Someone who works for me has a first, I knew from the tests I did in the interview it wasn't a high calibre qualification, but you've got to at least be organised and a grafter to get a first. Ironically given our academic qualifications I do the technical work and she is the hard working engine room of the team. A grafter with a good attitude is more valuable than a genius, in the vast majority of jobs...

It's like saying my grandad smoked 40 a day, lived on bread and dripping, and sank 10 pints a night... and lived to 100 It happens, but good results are a better indicator of your potential future success than shit ones Most people I grew up with in little hulton did jack shit with their education and now work tough low paid jobs. Sorry for stating the obvious!

Yeah I hear you. We could always tax assets rather than income, seeing as the majority of income seemingly just feeds into property prices, eventually. But the tories (Boris Johnson in particular) don't like that idea, they can't see that it's fair that somebody might have to sell the family pile if they don't have the income to support it. But they have no issue taxing / booting folk out of their council house. Which seems to me to be exactly the same principle?

Don't quite agree with the high earners sentiment. I don't think they will go elsewhere, and we've a shitload of people to fill their shoes if they do. All the people in and around London earning £150k-£500k won't go abroad if their top tax rate goes up 5%. They didn't go away when it went up temporarily a few years back. They wouldn't necessarily stroll into jobs that pay as well abroad anyway. And given they have a few quid, they wouldn't uproot their families and lives for the sake of £5-10k a year. I think the high earners are in large part feeding on the 'infrastucture' of London, as opposed to creating it. They need the City more than the City needs these people. Unless by high earners you mean the very small % earning astronomical money. Who probably avoid so much tax, the official rates don't even matter.

Museums
Audley end is Local to me, I'll have to look into it, got two little ones of my own to entertain. Oh for the days where you just turfed your kids out on the street until tea time.

Museums
We hold an event there every year, it's a top venue. Watching the caterers and staff turn a museum space into a gala dinner venue in an hour after the museum closes is a sight to see. There's a bloody army of them at work, and they literally finish and clear off down one end of the hall while the guests start to come in the other end, totally oblivious!

Looking On Google Maps.
Oh and to the op - I bet a lot of people in those London flats owned the place and got a handsome payoff. If you've been in a London council flat for years and haven't exercised right to buy you are a mug... I know loads of people who bought theirs for a song, sold up for 400k, and fucked off to Essex, it's a fucking scandal.

Looking On Google Maps.
Long time ago but little hulton was built for people who were cleared from central Salford when the terraced houses were razed and the tower blocks went up. Not quite gentrification though haha Everyone once in a while lh gets a smattering of folk moved out from Salford, the amblecote estate in the early 80s being a big example, but it still happens now when a bit of Salford is cleared. I guess they get spread around the city. Looks like a fair few flats are going up on amblecote again (after most if not all the flats on the estate were demolished) I wouldn't be surprised if a few bell ends from broughton or somewhere (africa?) end up housed there. I don't think that many people still lived in 'chimney pot park' anyway by the end did they? The places in London needed sorting, the rockingham estate in elephant and castle was a god forsaken shithole not fit for human habitation. Far better to clean it up than leave it be, in fear of being accused of pushing 'normal' folk out

Worst World Cup Pundit/commentator/presenter
Loved Pearce as a player but as a manager and analyst I have no interest in what he's got to say, he's pretty thick, and seems light years behind in his thinking.

Playing The Number 10 Role
Jose came out and slated Hazard badly to the press after the game, saying he played for himself not the team, or words to that effect Hazard is playing to the left for Belgium from what I've seen, similar to what he does for Chelsea, not no. 10, could be wrong though Not many good sides these days where certain players don't muck in off the ball

Playing The Number 10 Role
100% Jagielka's fault and it was really, really poor. I sometimes play centre back, how can you let the striker just drift away goal side of you, knowing the flick on could be from one of your own team? Suarez mugged him for the first too, though admittedly once Cavani had time to look up and cross, Suarez was always going to find the space, very hard to defend against that Jagielka was caught ball watching though on both occasions

Playing The Number 10 Role
I bet Jose said the same when Hazard let his man go twice in the champions league semi, and Jose is not British Honestly, they are not so articulate but top level pros know a hell of a lot more than we do... stands to reason doesn't it
