Not necessarily. As we saw at Huddersfield, an inswinging cross from an inverted winger can cause havoc. Our full backs are on the right side, so the combination of the two roles can provide both inswinging and outswinging (or pullback) crosses.

Bummed off players bought back for pure £
Which Morley did, after we released him at 14. So, relevant. The point is what we paid for his return was value, given the development given to him by Rochdale.

While I don’t think McAtee has ripped up any trees, I do think he’s offered more than Randall, when we’ve seen them both. Despite this, selections over the last month or so, have clearly favoured Randall. i can’t help wondering if a permanent deal is lined-up for McAtee, in the New Year, and we’re not jeopardising that deal with an injury.

Are you sure? In 68 games for us, he’s never shown he can head a ball in an accurate and controlled manner. Dalby has had one half decent cross from ACD and did brilliantly to put the ball into the back of the net, at Huddersfield.

SS also said in the pre-match interview that we had so many fit and available that some would not even make the matchday squad. This is what happened. The number of subs is not limitless. i do think Randall was a waste of a place on the bench and, for the same reason, McAtee would have been likewise. Cogley to cover the full backs, would have given more complete cover.

You make some great points, @Eddie, and I wasn’t being harsh on the defence. I agree Toal and Johnston had very good games, as did TSL. However, aside from scoring, we battered them in the first half and Dempsey was driving a lot of this, creating opportunities that others than didn’t take.

Dempsey was man of the match for me. Remember, those you’ve named earned most of their plaudits in the last 20 minutes, after Dempsey was withdrawn.

There are still plenty of seats in all home areas. When no one can get a seat and we’re sold out, then a moan might be legimate. A (nearly) sold out stafium looks tremendous and has a great atmosphere. If you’re worried about the noise from the away end, shout louder. If the players are intimidated by a full away end, they ain’t for us.

That is correct. He missed a couple of matches and was a sub as he came back from injury. However, he was in the starting lineup for the final, highlighting how key he was to that team.- Todays Games
Not World Cup but, for me, nothing beats watching Stelios celebrate Greece winning the Euros, while carrying his young son, who was wearing a Wanderers top. ❤️- Todays Games

Some effort from Troy Parrott. Double on Thursday to beat Portugal 2-0, and a hattrick today to beat Hungary 3-2. Can’t imagine he’ll need to pay for a Guinness again!- Bradford City (H)
Couple of thousand on the ticket site.- Stevenage (A)
It’s not difficult. He’s away with the NI squad. Didn’t make the bench tonight but he is in Slovakia as part of the squad and will be in the squad for Monday’s night match in Belfast. Teams do take more players than can be part of the starting XI and bench, in case players get ill or injured in training. We do the same when we’re at home, never mind travelling to Eastern Europe.- Oldham Athletic (A) - EFL Trophy
Fair enough. Johnston could do with a break, though. Unfortunately, Sam Inwood has been loaned out.- Oldham Athletic (A) - EFL Trophy
Surely Forino gets some minutes. That way, Johnston gets a break, as well. Not sure who goes on the left hand side, though.- Bradford City (H)
The difference isn’t comps, it’s season tickets. The Wrexham game would have had around 3k season ticket holders missing (still holiday time and live on TV) but counted in the attendance figures. Barnsley game was match tickets bought expressly for that game, the week before. Will have been virtually no no-shows. Hence, more on, despite a smaller attendance.- Port Vale (H)
It’s 92/93 for me. Third tier, new manager, squad changes and an indifferent start, before charging through the field to promotion. if we draw Liverpool in the third round of the cup, you know it is. 😉- Port Vale (H)
Not sure I’d loan Randall to Blackpool. Many people thought Blackpool had a strong squad this season and would be challenging, but they had an awful start. To his credit, Evatt has fired them up and they’re starting to get some good results. As we have shown, half a dozen good results can catapult any team up this league. If Blackpool come in with decent cash then fair enough. But I’m not for loaning anyone to a potential rival.- Port Vale (H)
Every time we open up an extra block for away fans, we have to employ additional stewards, catering and other staff. If they only then sell 50 tickets, we lose money on this request. That’s why they get x tickets on sale or return and have to pay up front for the y extra tickets. Common sense, in my opinion. EDIT: just realised I’m repeating the points made by others. Point stands, though.- Injuries
Excluding the obvious loanee, Sheehan would be top of my list to make the transition.- Todays Games
