Just spoke to my Dad - this year is his first season ticket since 78. He sounded like a 8 year old not 80. Not sure he'll sleep tonight!

Why did we give them so many tickets. None of our own in the South Stand.???

If they only got 4,500, then it’s upper and right half of lower. We should still have lower left. Stand holds almost 6,000.

Because they'll sell it all and we'll keep 95% of the revenue

I thought Wigan had the sections you describe, it was about 3.5k IIRC.

Capacity of stand is about 5k isn't it?  No away team has had 6k fans in there even when its full (Leeds got more tickets but includied West Lower).

This looks like we aren't selling to our fans in SSL as we didn't v Peterboro and for Cardiff.

A message I like and dislike at the same time.

Tinpot and ludicrous decision to give them the whole end.

Looks embarrassing. Gives them a huge advantage and turns it in to their big day out.

Pathetic from the club.

They're more likely to sell out then we are...

I don't give two shits about a few grand for the club. Stick a couple quid of home tickets to make up the shortfall if they're that arsed.

I'd rather they give the tickets away to kids than have to endure another club having their big day of the season at our place.

They'll make a right racket, drown our already wank atmosphere out, take up all the car park and us cunts in ESL will have to walk all the way back round the ground after the game.

It looks awful on the telly, makes us look incredibly small time and tinpot and in the realms of Wigan and Blackburn.

If they're kicking to that end in the 2md half it'll be like a home game for them.

Its pathetic.

Bang on.

This has already been chalked down as a defeat

But if we turn up and smash them they will be leaving with 20 minutes to go

Humphries and Sarcavic bowling about too.

Fuck me sounds like a great day.

Club may as well give em fanzone, hotel and harvester as well. Make it a right humdinger for em.

Worst scenario is a couple of weeks of whose got the biggest dick on tik tok showing their end and Sarcevic sliding on his knees towards the crazy corner kissing his badge etc. Or.....

A bit of this and we show whose the big boys of the division and those who are the wannabes. Plenty of old annoying faces in their team to make this a spicey occasion. Looking forward to this one already

Both Rovers and Wigan get tiny crowds, so their desperate to try and get a crowd, where as were not. Have'nt we given them more tickets than the piemen.

Took piemen a good while to sell their 3.5k tickets. These have sold out with plenty of time to go.

If away fans turning up had any correlation on results, we'd be top of the bloody league

We look pretty desperate giving those fuckers the whole end.

If we were filling out the other 3 stands then I'd agree, but we're not so bring in the extra pennies.

5.5k at each end 8k on each side , 1k spread around the ground for a capacity of 28k minus any segregation . scope to add 2k seats at the front of all stands .

Don't know where I read this, donkeys ago, but I seem to recall the max allocation at the away end is 4400, 2600 lower and 1800 upper. North stand will be greater capacity as no segregation to think of

Segregation can only be a couple hundred max right ?

If we bring a similar number as we did against Wigan (over 22,000 home fans) then this could be looking at 26.5/27k.

Gonna be a big atmosphere for sure.

Christ.

God forbid we ever get back to a division where large away followings are the norm. Best just to hope to play Crawley Town at home for eternity.

You could well be correct . Im going back to when the ground was being built . there was a viewing platform , a real time online camera so you could watch the stadium being built and then a bit later on you could visit a small "portacabin" type thing that you could visit . It had a mini model of the stadium and a Q&A for any visitors .

The time I went Phil gartside was there answering questions . He said at the time the capacity was 28,000 limited to 25,000 by the highways commission until it was proven that the motoorway junction could handle the extra traffic , and that there was the option to add another 2000 seats but that wasnt an option for the foreseeable as the club got more revenue from the advertising hoardings than they would from the extra seats .

The other reason I remember it was that the "host" was Scott Taylors girlfriend who was an absolute Godess , but whilst typing this Ive realised that this was before the hotel was built and also that the West stand , with the directors and posh seats cant hold the same as the East stand .  So im probably wrong .

Also I seem to recall that the highest attendance against leicester didnt have any segregation , just a line of stewards rather than netting .

Long winded way of saying I am probably wrong as usual . Ya just cant trust folk from East lancs 😉
