Empty seats in Bolton and Everton ends
thats what you get for charging ??39 for an upper tier seat First time Everton havent sold every ticket at Bolton in the Premier league..they even brought 6,000 for a 3rd Round Cup tie in 94. It was ??7.50 for an adult to stand at the Bolton v Everton cup tie in 94. With these prices i can see only the Man Utd game being completely sold out.Possibly Liverpool and Chelsea. Its sad that a game that could easily have sold out will be under capacity because of the greed of our money men.

Man dies from horse play injuries
King County sheriff's detectives are investigating the owners of an Enumclaw-area farm after a Seattle man died from injuries sustained while having sex with a horse boarded on the property. Investigators first learned of the farm after the man died at Enumclaw Community Hospital July 2. The county Medical Examiner's Office ruled that the death was accidental and the result of having sex with a horse. A surveillance camera picked up the license plate of the car that dropped the man off at the hospital, which led detectives to the farm and other people involved, said sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart. Deputies don't believe a crime occurred because bestiality is not illegal in Washington state and the horse was uninjured, said Urquhart. But because investigators found chickens, goats and sheep on the property, they are looking into whether animal cruelty ??? which is a crime ??? was committed by having sex with these smaller, weaker animals, he said. The farm was talked about in Internet chat rooms as a destination for people looking to have sex with livestock, he said. "A significant number of people, we believe, have likely visited this farm," said Urquhart. The Humane Society of the United States intends to use the case during the next state legislative session as an example of why sex with animals should be outlawed in Washington, said Bob Reder, a Humane Society regional director in Seattle. "This and a few other cases that we have will allow us a platform to talk about sex abuse of animals," Reder said. Thirty-three states ban sex with animals, he said. Susan Michaels, co-founder of local animal-rights organization Pasado's Safe Haven, said she has been fighting to have bestiality made illegal. "It's animal cruelty behind closed doors," Michaels said.

Swansea City (a)
I've only been to Swansea once for the 0-0 draw that got us in the play offs. An odd number of us went on the coach and i was the one who sat next to a stranger. It happened to be Graham who didnt spend much time spotting coaches but told me tales about the winter of '62. Bolton didnt play a home game between 8th December and 9th March and the 3rd Round cup tie at Sheff Utd wasnt played till March. There are a number of programmes from the 62/63 season that go for ??50 upwards (not Bolton).Mainly London clubs up north...this is no doubt due to not many Cockneys getting to the games and taking programmes back....i thank Graham for describing the weather conditions of that winter which caused the programme scarcity.

Bolton's nickname
I think it is to do with pigs feet being a local delicacy. Another possibilty was that an amusing chap was known as a trotter and the town of Bolton was known for having many amusing chaps......but i go for the pigs feet explanation. You should treat your lad to some....theres a stall on Bury market that does black puddings, pigs feet, cow heels etc.

UEFA draw 26th August
Yes..was 11.30 our time last year. And a Boro fan has just stated that it is a FACT that the group draw takes place on Friday morning just before the draw. so we dont have an exciting 24 hours planning trips to one of 5 destinations.

UEFA draw 26th August
Before the draw is made the seeded and unseeded teams are split into 8 groups......so we will know that we will be playing one of five teams. I've been trying to find out when the draw for these groups is made. Bert kassies isnt responding.a Boro fan thinks its the day before and a European brass i know thinks its about an hour before the draw. I'm with the brass because the qualifiers are played the night before the draw....and i cant see uefa doing the group draw late on a Thursday night.

One game in and......
Drawing at Aston Villa on the opening day of the season is a good achievement. A big club like them would expect to beat a club of our spending power at home with 30,000 fans behind them. Thats the 2nd time in our Premier league history that is been 2-2 at half time on the opening day....remarkable.

Jenas today!
Jenas' sending off will hopefully mean he is suspended from the game with us. When Emre was writhing in agony in the first half i was hoping he was also going to be missing...was nothing wrong with him though.

Hello Hello
I beat the ban at Luton for Tottenham's 3-1 win in March 89. Still got the ticket.??4.50 for an adult to watch a top flight league game. Was the night after Bolton beat PNE at Burnden and Jeff Chandler connected with their full backs cheek bone.

Where wouldnt you go in the Uefa Cup 1st Round
Besiktas and Galatasaray would be seeded so we couldnt play them in the 1st round. Doesnt look like we can play any Turks in the 1st round.

Where wouldnt you go in the Uefa Cup 1st Round
I dont think an Icelandic team will be in the draw. My only problem with Zenit is that the Neva is supposed to be a magnet for fleas and insect repellant brings me out in a rash.

Where wouldnt you go in the Uefa Cup 1st Round
Ireland definitely ....anything but victory would be a humiliation and it wouldnt feel like going abroad.Would stay home and save my money for the group stage. Scotland....not sure about.....wouldnt feel like a holiday going to Dundee or Edinburgh but might be a competitive match if Sam picked a few reserves. And it would only be as expensive as going to Pompey for a night match. Israel....if the game was switched to Cyprus/Turkey etc id be ok with that, but wouldnt want the hassle of the tight security that would go with an English club playing there.
