Hs2 re-visited

We had a discussion on here a while back, which suggested quite a substantial opposition to the project.

Now that there are rumours that the Northern section will be scrapped, what are the views now?

I was always an opponent of it, though softened slightly when an expert lady explained in more detail about the capacity issues on the East and West Coast mainlines.

Friday travel update😊 Bus journeys today. The Bee Network is brilliant. See below. 11am this morning into town. 4 buzzies in a ten minute period. Brand new 100% EV double deckers.
5 minute wait for the 125 to Horwich. Not as new as the Bee ones but pretty good. Public transport is pretty good in the overlooked areas. 🚌

I’ve come to walk. I’m not an anorak.

PS. Saw Sober Dan😊

😊 It’s the future. 👍

Went into town yesterday by car. Due to traffic and road works, it took me twice as long as this morning. Also, I’m saving the planet. Embrace it.

Possibly, if the tram lines are ever built
