I Was a young 14 year old stood on the end of Blackpools Spion Kop, when nicking oppositions scarves was the in thing at the time, a lad close to me had aquired a few Bolton scarves, bragging to his mates how easy it was, so after the game i knabbed a Pool scarf for payback.

Oldham, Feb 1978. A few of us met up with a school friend in Bury whose dad was giving us a lift to Oldham. First attempt failed as we heard the game had been called off and we had to leg it when some Munichs set fire to the bin outside the chippy we were in and the owner blamed us and called the police; and then on the second attempt we bumped into a bus load of Oldham fans and me and this other lad ended up bricking it in a pie-shop surrounded by the fuckers. I can still see him legging it like feck but still eating his pasty! I got me scarf nicked but it was Ok as I'd borrowed it! And it snowed. 27 years ago now........... #-o

I remember the Oldham 'keeper coming out for second half, all Bolton supporters clapping him and the tosser waved back! Cue about 100+ snowballs. :D/

Got ejected from that one for hitting a copper with a snowball. :D

Fuckin hell - in my post I was about to say that I remembered the snowballs and a copper coming in to crowd and lamping a lad before marching him out for throwing a snowball....was that you then??

I think my first game away from Burnden was Wembley - does that count?

raggin hell - in my post I was about to say that I remembered the snowballs and a copper coming in to crowd and lamping a lad before marching him out for throwing a snowball....was that you then??

'fraid so. I didn't get a lamping though, I just got told, "Come 'ere dick-head."

And no, he didn't already know me!

Wolves, cup 4th round, 2-0, 1993

bit of a late starter

and yes it meant I didn't go to the 2-0 at Anfield

=; :-$

Wrexham - New Years day some time in the early 80's.

We won - Neil Whatmore scored.

Gawd its a small world!

Notts County away for me, the one where we were losing about 5-0 by half time and had 35 goals disallowed

Can't remember the year but it was a mid week night match and there was a special from the old train station before it moved across the road, possible an FA cup match

Probably about 85ish I think

"copy & Paste"

First away game wuz Oldham , night game on 4th Feb 75, Div 2. Lost 1-0 but we took the Chaddie and bounced up and down at the back on the springy wooden terrace floor boards! what could a 14 year old apprentice boot boy wish for more in life!

Scarboro for me - cant remember the year - possibly 1989???

Got hammered 4-0.

Only memories from the day was a coppers hat being slung in the air as he tried to break up a fight.

Then being locked in a carpark by horses (coppers on them by the way) with the rest of the white army trying to get past them with coins being thrown.

I think a Wolves fan had died the match before after climbing on to the toliet

It was a bank holiday and Scarboro was full of Bikers!

Those were the days!

Boro away-their first season at the Riverside-we won 4-1 scorers Blake,Coleman,Green,Lee

No, the Wolves fan survived but its the famous footage where he's dancing on the roof of the stand then next thing you know - wallop, he's fallen through it! How he feckin survived I dont know. Must be a clip of it somewhere...

Hull away, Feb 1976, also at the Sheff United away game we won 5-1 as mentioned by ST somewhere, just watched the battling from the comfort of the stand.

First I can really remember is Wembley in 86 v Bristol City but I was only 7.

After that the earliest that sticks in my mind was Shrewsbury away, 1st game of the season in the sun. We scored a late winner - could've been Stuart Storer. Not sure of the year, anyone remember?

My memory tells me that the famous footage was DEFINATELY of a Man. U. fan dancing on the roof and it was Carrow Road, Norwich. I guess it may have happened elsewhere though.

Well they did demolish Carrow Road that day (note for younger listeners, I do mean demolish) so I guess it could have happened, but the one I'm thinking of was deffo that Scarboro game...

League Cup. Pissed down all the day. Losing 6-0 at half time and lost 6-1.

Mine was Huddersfield FA cup 75, 9 years old. Took fuckin thousands that day, fith round (I think), won 1-0.

Fookin 'ell. was it 75? I remember going to that game and the Huddersfield boys had to walk through us to get to the bogs or bar or summat. This Bolton lad was in the way of the biggest sheep-shagger you've ever seen. The Yorkshire man butted the Bolton fan and his head split like a splitting thing! Fookin' blood everywhere!

A Wolves fan did it the match before we played them I think it was Scarboro's first home match in the league and it kicked off big style - I am sure it made the national news! We played them in their following home match and there was a massive police presence. My dad convinced my mum that he was taking us away for the bank holiday weekend, and it was only when we got to Scarborough that she found out Wanderers were it town as well - how lucky was that!!

I also went to Wembley 86 but did not count that as an away match as it was Wembley :-k
