Sneaky b@stards

I was looking forward to today to get my first full state pension, it also coincided with my Prison Service pension being paid in, state pension was what they said I would get and Prison Service pension almost £200 down, I rang HMRC and they said 'your tax code has changed because we cannot tax the state pension at source so we take it from other sources ie other pensions, and you are still working' so on my first pension I lose almost a quarter of it because I dared to work all my life, and continue to do so, to pay for scrounging twats up and down the country, thieving cnuts, fucking fuming😠

Thanks mate, have you not got an empty garage I can move into?😊

  • You can take your tax free lump sum at anytime and despite its name you do not have to take it as a lump sum. For the younger viewers pension might seem boring but getting it sorted sooner rather

Maybe they should all stop wasting their money on Werthers Originals and Royal Family crockery out of the Daily Mail supplements?

Who are they? 🤷‍♂️ Weird reply.

I was talking about the tax burden in general.

Not being funny guys but the tax thresholds are well known. If you carry on working then you are likely to breach them. Its not a new thing by any stretch.

Oh and most if not all of your younger peers will get less yet pay in more so enjoy your retirement.

I'll suck it up until I retire in June, it isn't worth going on 3 days,

My only advice is to get a plan... not all that financial crap... get a plan in your head of how you are going to spend your days without (in my case 50 years of building sites)... this is my biggest problem, I have interests but they are hobbies at the end of  the day. I do a jumbo crossword every day to exercise the brain and still read books... the brain is a muscle and it should be looked after

On your last paragraph. Can you explain? I and others have paid in since 16. 50 years. Explain why younger ones will pay more but get less. I haven’t heard anything.

If you like working and keeping busy, could you just volunteer for one of the four days and end up better off for it?

I've no idea when I'll retire

But if it was tomorrow, I'd quite happily do what I do as a way to pass the time unpaid

So long as I had money coming in from elsewhere I guess

Because the retirement age is increasing and the amount of NI is also increasing. If it exists by then I suspect my pension will be fuck all anyway.

Ageing population. Fuckers used to retire and be dead within 5 years. Now every cunt's living well into their 80's.

And that too.

I did some driving and stuff for the local foodbank but when our local vicar was moved on it all dissipated... on selfish note, it wasn't the same as working in industry... no "edge" to the working day to get your blood pumping... BUT maybe the time is coming for me to call it a day and do something else

Suspect? Ok. Total guesswork.

Looking at your posts today I suspect you’ve been in your local Spoons all day. 😉

Not really, every estimate is that the increase in personal provision will reduce the social provision over the years.

As long as you have a paid up state pension and some extra savings. investments or a small property you'll be okay after the 66 barrier.

The main thing is to look after yourself from middle age, reasonable exercise (get a dog) and diet are essential along with mental exercise. Stay away from processed ready made and take away foods, they really are poisonous.

Then you can join me in wondering what the fuck I'm going to do with all this time I now have on my hands... I'm trying to wean myself off my work but it is difficult

Perhaps you could show us these estimates?
It’s been discussed many times that the pension needs to be reformed to bring it in line with other countries. If anything, I’d say it can only get better. With the right government.

It won't. We have a large military that no one wants to reduce with good reason and we also have the commonwealth funds that also costs. There are loads more of course but if you think we are going to increase pensions then we have to spend less elsewhere.

The costs of treating and looking after folk is ever increasing as they get older.

Arguably people will get more out of the system as they live longer.

Something has to give.

Of course it does. I don't understand why this is difficult to comprehend.

No we don’t. That’s not how other countries pensions work. People contribute more into a defined pension scheme. Countries poorer than ours have better pensions.

So we have to pay more in! I agree but most of the country doesn't, that's democracy

It’s not difficult. Read it again. People will get more out of the system as they  live longer. That’s you and younger people!

But younger people will have to work longer than older people - and therefore contribute more - as retirement age increases...

You pay in and it's taken before tax, so they'll tax you when you take out instead.

I see making it to retirement age as a privilege and I often think about all the bandits I have known who haven't got as far along the road as me... money becomes less important later in life, don't over-stress about it, you'll cut your cloth to suit when the time hopefully comes
