2025/26 League One Season

Early, but am I weird to be kinda looking forward to a fresh season under Schuey, with some of his players to come in?

Just trying to move on from this catastrophe of a season as quickly as possible for my own sanity.

We know Cardiff City & Plymouth are joining us along with one other of either Hull City, Luton Town, PNE, Derby or Stoke. Would like Hull or PNE personally, think they'd be less of a challenge than the others.

Port Vale, Doncaster joining too along with potentially Bradford and one more. Nice to see some northern clubs coming.

Glad to see the back of Brum and Wrexham. I think as it stands we will be the favourite to go up, will also have the leagues largest attendances, and probably the biggest club by some distance with big hitters less prominent. Pressure will be greater than ever, yet I'm looking forward to it.

Its been one long season, I guess the first thing everybody needs is a big long break.

That's right. Stockport are outstandingly well recruited, prepared and coached, in training and on matchdays. No stand out talents, no mavericks or ballers, just strong, fit, fast and decent players,

No we’re still short need another striker , defensive midfielder and full back . Keeper

I would be counting schon and tutu as wingers so that’s 12 midfielders if the Swedish lad comes in so we need to off load expect one of shehan , Tomo or Dempsey still to go and hopefully the guy from Celtic up front . I think we need to bring another 4 in

lolas, and dan out on loan or sold vic not registered

Why would we not register Vic if he’s likely to be back in November? If we didn’t and had a full squad we’d have to deregister another player for him to be included and I think it’s Schu’s intention that he is so I’d expect him to be in the squad from the start.

Because he’s not very good. 😂

And what if he doesn’t get fit? We’ve wasted a spot. Assuming we don’t bring someone in (which is not the plan according to reports), why don’t we just leave the spot vacant until we’re sure Vic can play (debatable point!) or a free agent becomes available?

And he’s not very good! ©️ @tomski

I guess we're into definitions of what is a midfielder here.

Yes, Lolos will go (I don't think he featured on Saturday against Tranmere) and Dan will go.

I think SS sees Dempsey as an attacking mid who offers a different kind of option to Randall (almost certain we'll see a lot of him next season) and McAtee. It'll be hard to move him on anyway as he is still injured.

We've 5 wingers by my reckoning so i do expect possibly CMG (fitness / attitude) or Schon (lack of pace) to go. And I think Sheehan will be the one to go if another midfielder comes in.

Coming in I agree - it'll be a Goalkeeper, Left Back, Centre Forward (and maybe a midfielder)

What's happened with the Jesper Ceesay chap
