Well, relatively speaking yes. He has a budget, and can 'buy' players for money, but it will have it's limits. If he wants more he will need to sell. I expect most of our work will be free's, with perhaps a couple of cash signings coming in. I also expect a couple will leave for fee's and I can certainly see Sheehan being one of these (I'd be sad to see him go but understand thee may be financial sense in it). Of the contracted players, I also think Lolos, Dempsey and CMG will be on their way. No ITK - just my opinion.

Don't know anything about that, but he's probably our most saleable asset (and Collins) so wouldn't surprise me. I know he has his detractors but i think 'll get a Championship gig if he goes. There'll be clubs like Swansea who would happily part with £500K for him i reckon!

We've spoken to Ledson, but so have plenty of clubs. Players / managers / agents on holiday at mo so not loads happening. Really just a sounding out process at the moment. He's keen to stay North West (if only so his other half can get to work more easily) so he'll likely end up at Hudds / Us / Wrexham (?) or similar. Was on £7K a week at PNE.

Yep. I’m completely speculating. Trafford had a rough ride at Accy Stanley prior to joining us on loan. I remember a lot of fans being critical of IE for bringing him in but he was brilliant. Hopefully SS can find another one!

Agree with you. Really don’t expect Southwood to be number 1. He’s a very able number 2, but we already know SS has some reservations about him. The fact Baxter has gone, and it’s such a unique position, would suggest to me SS already knows who is coming in. And it’ll either be an out of contract player or a season loan.

I'm sketchy on the timeline these days, but did we lose Sturridge and Wilshere at season end, then those 3 around Nov - Jan time following season? If so, that's half of a top 6 team ripped out in a 6 month period. No wonder Coyle loved table tennis - only thing they couldn't get injured doing!
