bolty58 Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 Some finish to the Argentina v England game this morning (my time). Series won. Lions reserves looked in cruise mode last night. Looking forward to the Tests. Quote
Ani Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 (edited) I would love to do a Lions tour , of the 3 places they really visit think Oz would best especially at the moment they are probably the weakest of the potential opponents. Edited July 13, 2025 by Ani Quote

Yep, I think you are right. Fans of the Wallabies are the most dislikeable bunch I have ever come across down here. Proper arrogant and entitled attitude. Hoping for a whitewash by the Lions. Hopefully with a real hammering or two thrown in. Quote

One of my mates follows eggball all over the world, supporting England. He has been on a couple of Lions tours, and he reckons it's a far superior experience to just following England, says there is nothing like it. Quote
green genie Posted July 19, 2025 Posted July 19, 2025 Steady enough start but should have stamped on their throats after early second half try. Quote

Watched the Lions beat Australia in an Irish bar in Prague. The whole 4 nations represented. 2013? Great experience. A few Aussies in as well. Quote
Traf Posted July 19, 2025 Posted July 19, 2025 Are we that shit at Rugby that we have to put four countries together just to play the Aussies? Quote

The funny thing is 3 of the countries probably would beat the Aussies on their own. Wales being the odd one out. Should have been a demolition on Saturday. Quote

The most biased bastards I think I have ever met in sport related stuff. I watched it on Sky UK. Aussie commentators are a disgrace - won't even pretend to be neutral. Even my very placid missus was punching the air with clenched teeth when the winning try went over. Their captain (Harry Wilson) had wound her up no end hassling the referee after every decision which did not go Australia's way. She said it was a shame his skull cap wasn't purple instead of red. 'Then he would look like a bell end too'. She's a belter my lass. Quote
bolty58 Posted July 30, 2025 Author Posted July 30, 2025 They are still whining down here about the winning try. They will demand 'accountability' from World Rugby for the decision where the Aussie feigned a head injury and did a Latin football player roll around. Seen as nothing untoward by the referee and then their video replay bods. Shocking losers. Hope the Lions get a whitewash. Quote
Ani Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 There are arguably 2 or 3 offences committed by the Aussie, he enters the ruck from the side, his head is too low and he has a hand on the floor so not supporting his own weight. A few older ex players now saying there was nothing wrong with it. But still loads crying. Wonderful. See them off 3-0 and gloat. Quote

Italys improvement is also good. England losing to anyone will create massive scrutiny. But this defeat is good for England. Complacency and a team that was up-for-it can be a wake up call for a squad that has just beaten the Blacks. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 15 Posted February 15 A defeat is good? That's bizarre. Quote

Tomorrow’s game will be measure of the year. Everyone expects a mauling in Paris so have to perform/win to not be seen as winning the wooden half of table Quote
