The keepers can only hold the ball for 8 seconds so more reason to shoot.

Biggest reason for me is that defences won’t just stay in two lines on the edge of the box in the full knowledge that we were guaranteed to recycle it back and start again rather than have a dip - it will force them to come out and block which will create spaces behind. We were so predictable and now we’re not.

Sheer quality by Conway that. He looks like he can make that position his own.    good height, good build, pacey and looks like he could have some end product. I hope he gets a go!

One of the most exciting things to come out of the preseason so far is that when a player gets within range, they’ve had a shot, whether it’s been the wingers or Conway or someone else coming through

watch the SS interview with the Everton TV bloke. Talks about signing players for Plymouth.

Gives an insight into his approach and relevant to your post above.

(it's about 2 hours long mind ... I did it in stages)

Blimey! - any chance of a synopsis?

He identifies an area that needs improving- sometimes simply an area of the pitch where we aren't achieving what we should be. That could be goals from outside the box.

He then tells his guys what he wants and they go and identify individuals who fulfil those requirements.

They then go through them, analyse their game, character etc.

They then decide which one the want, and go for him.

Simples.

For the amount Lusty spends pontificating on here and other forums he may be better advised to watch the full two hours and educate himself into the current regimes thought processes.

Maybe garner a more qualified view in the process.

It was a good watch- didn't realise it was that long!

His brief interviews on BWFC channel are a bit of performative meh- bland questions and little scope for insightful answers.

This one is tremendous in that it reveals just how SS was shaped by his experiences earlier in his career, and how that translates into his managerial methods.

I expressed an opinion using words like “it seems” and “maybe Im imagining it, but…” which hardly qualifies as “pontificating” does it?
I do like a good statistic if anyone happens to know one, but when some no-life goes to all the trouble of going researching online to find a statistic to “disprove” what Im thinking might be true, I start to wonder just how sad some fuckers on here really are.

I know you and couple of others hang on to my every word to try to pick holes in my opinions but if you need a wank, may I suggest porn instead?

Come to think of it, I have actually watched this I think. Is it the one where he starts off banging on about his youth career and his memories of walking into Everton’s training ground for the first time? And how good Pompeys owners were etc etc.?

That's the one. Thought it was an excellent way to pass a couple of hours and have recommended it to my Dad. Was surprised that Schumacher captained England in a couple of age groups, then never really had a playing you'd expect of such a prospect.

Plymouth.

But yes.

Didn't take much in then, if you couldn't remember that you'd seen it!

He's not that boring is he? 😀

Talks about how they recruited the 2 attacking mids that did really well for them in the promotion season.

Specifically how and why they identified them. Ties in with what we've seen from our 2 new wingers so far.

My main memory of it that it was a proper Scouseathon but got the gist of it using Google translate.

For “lusty” read “keyboard”.

Don’t worry - I’ll give you a virtual cuddle afterwards.
