Moors murders

New documentary tonight featuring the work of a journalist, who has found pages of an autobiography written by Brady.

Unfortunately, 200 pages are missing, which he believes may help reveal Keith Bennnett's grave.

Sounds incredible; will definitely be giving it a watch.

I do hope they find KB's grave, it's horrible that it's still not been found.

That said I'm glad none of the family are around to see his body being recovered, I can say with experience that's one of the worst parts alongside identifying the body.

Can't even think what's going through the moors murders minds, even when caught, it was sick not to share the info.

This morning my wife said i think Keith Bennett's mother has died now? , poor lad would have been in his 70s himself by now so i would think she has.

She died years ago. Must've been awful for her. Especially with her grandson also getting murdered.

Remember reading about that in that Manchester gang war book yonks ago. Was it 'White Tony Johnson' or something.

Yes that's him.

Penny Black pub wasn't it ? It's an Islamic Education Centre these days, I go past it most days at work.

My manager at work, worked on Keith's mum's house many years ago.

Well I watched both episodes.

Absolutely fascinating, and frankly disturbing.

Unless there is an angle we're not being presented with (not impossible), then GMP have a lot of answering to do.

As does the former solicitor representing Brady.

Something greatly amiss.

Definitely recommend.

Watched the 2nd episode this evening.  Some interesting stuff in there, particularly hearing Brady's voice but a couple of things bothered me.

The shock and surprise of the researchers about Brady's autobiography and the detail regarding Pauline Reads murder.  This was already available to them in Dr Keightley's biography (they were in the blokes house!) of Brady that describes it in quite graphic detail.

The other thing that irked a bit was Pauline's niece and her random, emotional quotes about a woman she never met and was murdered presumably before she was even born.

I wonder if the Solicitor who has the suitcase can lawfully be forced to surrender it, particularly since his client is dead and can't be charged?

Part and parcel of program making that.

A bit of titillation.

The pages from the actual hand written document added weight to the case and made the missing parts all the more "real".

I reckon those pages could be made available; imaging a situation where someone was missing and documents could help locate them.

The aim here though isn't to gey a prosecution, but to find a body.

As for the niece- she will have seen the impact it had on her mum, and I think your dismissal of her lacks empathy and is based solely on presumption without knowing them.

I don't know much about it, and I have little interest, but surely, they're not still wasting police resources looking for a body from 60+ years ago are they?

They are pissing about with madeleine McCann so don’t see why not. Only one who never gets any interest is the one in Greece

A mad one was those 2 kids from Birmingham that disappeared in 1990s that nobody seems to have heard of. Don't think the police were that arsed looking for them.

If the McCanns could accept any responsibility for what they did i may have a bit more sympathy for them

But they won't

Well off couple with good jobs and employing a PR (now disgraced) bloke

If they were a couple from a council estate on a jolly in Benidorm they would have been crucified by the media

If you have the means, why wouldn't you use them to help find your child?

Not sure Max Clifford was doing the rounds of Portugal looking for her

From the MET police website

Can you advise, exactly how much funding (£) has been spent on the missing child Madeleine investigation since her disappearance.

Expenditure as at 30th September 2022 was £12,944,155. The final figure for the current financial year is not yet available. This is because a period of time needs to elapse following the end of the financial year in order to enable any invoices or receipts to be submitted and entered onto our systems.

Let that figure sink in for a couple who were more interested in going out on the piss with their mates than looking after their kids

They haven’t got the means. It’s police funding paying for it.

If true, then it should be stopped now.

I got the figure from the Met Police website. Was part of an FOI request so no doubt it's true

Plus the figure is from 2022 so it's probably topped £13m by now

The force said the figure only relates to the costs incurred in Operation Grange, and does not include the costs of other national and international investigators

So could be double?

They're struggling now as their prime suspect is due to be released from prison soon

He'll probably disappear so no chance to interview him

Should have called time on this years ago

Kempsthorn Road, Pollok...,that's where the evil twat Brady was raised. House still stands to this day...I'm approximately a mile from it as we speak, at my partner's across the way.
