Keeping the foot on the pedal and pummelling teams on the few occasions we've taken early leads has been an issue for a long while. Under Evatt we did it now and then, when flat track bullying the likes of Fleetwood, but not often. This season, Wigan the stand out, otherwise its been hard going.

Barnsley was an odd one, I expected it to be end to end and fairly even from the off, they were unbelievably bad first half then a different outfit with the half time changes and a huge slice of luck.

Against the numerous low block shithousing sides in our league though it makes the game much easier to manage if we can start fast and score first

We need to stop conceding the first goal first and foremost.

That'll avoid having to break down a bank of ten players for half the bloody match.

This has been going on for a long time re conceeding first

@captainmed used to go on about it all the time and he hasn't posted for about 2 years

Especially in this league when no one really wants to play

How was transport back to the station after the game?

Enough buses on? Uber prepared to come out?

Uber were dreadful. Only managed to get one an hour after the game after plumping for the ‘executive’ option. There were loads of drivers about, so they must have all decided to hold out for the higher fares.

Shame the Nag’s Head doesn’t run buses midweek as that worked a treat on our last Saturday visit.

Reckon we’ll be walking. 2,300 sold on first day.

Nags head looks interesting if TVP aren’t throwing their teddies.

Fantastic pub and they were more than happy for us to go on their bus last season. Fella in the pub sells tickets. He’s called Big G, you’ll know him when you see him!
