Run-in

8 games unbeaten with a run of like 8 games that are all "winnable" before an incredibly difficult April/May, each game goes and the gap seems to widen above us and we really are looking at the end game now

We haven't beaten anyone by more than 1 goal since 8th November vs bottom of the league Port Vale (4-0) and our performances recently are mixed, good for a half here and there and needing moments in the last minute to scrape points whilst missing a ton of great chances, I think with this keeper we'd have seen more points earlier in season, in a part I think our performances where much better but we dropped points so much.

If we go into April, 16 unbeaten (that seems far-fetched to say lol), confidence may be sky high playing those teams but when we can't seem to take easy chances and kill games, it's gonna be one hell of a sweat-fest against these tougher teams.

I think part of me feels there's still a chance because nerves play a part, I just don't think given our last 5 games we will get top 2 because we will need Lincoln to have a big slip up whilst we almost go perfect,  if we have a lot of dropped points in these next 8 games, the worst case could be we surrender the playoffs like last season, but I doubt this, you can't be third all season, without really clicking either for it go wrong all of a sudden, if it is to be the playoffs those last 5 games are great preparation at least.

How do you see it going? gonna be nervy.

Might make some of those doom mongers feel a bit more positive about finishing in the play-offs

There's a 1.5% chance we won't make it.

Sack the board, execute Schumacher and burn the ground down NOW

I'm repeating my point of yesterday but when did our target becoming finishing 6th?  It feels like we're sleep walking to losing in the semi if we're happy with 2nd leg away like Barnsley the first time.

I’m not sure I’ve read anywhere that we’d be happy finishing 6th - I said yesterday this is the worst case scenario.

It’s merely to point out to those - and there’s quite a few - who think we won’t finish in the play-offs.

You’ve also indicated yourself that once we’re there anything can happen.

Fair enough, no problem with that.

I'm just getting the vibe, even from SS, that 6th is OK and acceptable.

Yes if we'd been in Huddersfield, Plymouth and Reading's positions all season we'd be striving for the play offs, but we've been top 5 the whole season give or take a week or 2.  What a waste if we end up away in the 2nd leg and miss the chance to have our crowd behind us when it really matters.

A win tomorrow would be huge.

Implying 99%+

I don’t see Plymouth losing tonight.

Would be very happy with a draw

I’d be surprised if Mansfield got anything at Stockport - hopefully though this is where we see their run-in becoming a stretch for them.

It would be unusual with Rotherham, having nothing to play for, turning over Luton.

Stevenage Barnsley I suspect will be the usual dogged, low-scoring affair that Stevenage entertain with.

Think I’ll watch Bradford - Plymouth.

I'll check the scores and result once.

Wouldn't watch one of our rivals.

I'm not arsed what happens tonight. Expect all our rivals to win and if they don't, it's a bonus.
Get a result at Bradford, beat Luton and hit the play-offs with a bit of momentum.

See you all at Spurs in August xx

Indeed. There are no results in other games that could soften the blow of us losing at Bradford. And there are none that would spoil it if we won. Either way we'll take stock before Luton, and again only us winning/playing well would be accepted.

On another note, if Spurs are in championship next season, hope their fans don't expect to play any games at 3pm on a Saturday! www.Spurs/Sky.com

Not a bad prediction 😉
