Just had a word with Happy Wanderer about us getting a wreath done for Dave Higson's funeral on Wednesday. Need to get a proper quote, but my missus guesses "Ding Dong Do" would cost around the ??300 mark.

Now then, that's a lot of dosh to raise. If 60 people on hear could donate a ??5 each, we'd get that.

 

Or do you reckon the money could be better spent?

I had a load of bother when I set-up paypal. in the end they sent me a 6 digit pin in the post. which i entered t'other day and bingo - paid happy ??10.

Hopefully when I get home tonight , they will be a letter from them and I can sort it out then ... better late then never

R.I.P. Ding Dong Doo, its 9.45 and he will be laid to rest in 15 minutes, my thoughts are at overdale at the mo, and i will have my own minutes silence at 10.00am.

Just thought I'd let everyone know was at the Reebok this morning when Dave went passed, the first car was an extra coffin car and the DING DONG DO wreath was in it proudly displayed for all to see.

 

 

Dave was behind. It was truly a very emotional moment having known Dave for 14 years I miss him....

Just got back from dave's funeral. Standing room only! A great send off for a great man.

 

. . .and 'The Great Escape' . . .half the congregation laughed, half cried!

 

Ding Dong Do flowers looked great. I was proud to have been a part of it's purchase.

If he were commentating at his funeral, he would certainly be saying that it was a 'ding dong do', then coming up with a gem like 'they'll be stuffing their faces with my butties in a bit, like starving africans, so to speak'
