Why can't an own goal be scored from a direct free kick. I reckon that is a load of bollox. 7/10 but 8/10 if you say I got Q10 right.

yup thats what i thought, and i'm sure ive seen a goal from the 80's where the ball has been blown into the keepers own net from a goal kick and its counted so they must of changed the rules, but why!

 

would of been goal of the season imo...

Law 16 A goal may be scored direct from a goal kick but only against the opposing team. If the ball goes in the own goal, it is a corner.
