The Magpies had an option to sign the 28-year-old for a further two years, but did not take it up after the Dutchman's disappointing year. Kluivert is wanted by a host of Spanish clubs including Valencia, Seville and Real Betis. But he has ruled out a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce. He told the News of the World: "I am going back to Spain and not Turkey."
