best ever performance you've seen against Bolton

Featured Replies

that's against

for me, Fulham at home in 2000/2001 when they won Divison One

they scored after 16 seconds and with the last kick of the game, for the 90 or so minutes in between i think we touched the ball about 3 times

Probably a good shout that one Zico. Cannot recall seeing us so outclassed. Also remember Bristol City dicking us 4-0 and 4-1 - both at Burnden.

playoff final against reading

Explain...

Don???t know how to explain that I can't read ](*,) . Read the thread that quick though I???d read best Bolton performance ](*,) apologies for being a complete pr*ck #-o

I seem to recall losing 6-0 at home to someone or other....

Have to agree, I hate it when Bolton lose but when we lost to fulham at the reebok I couldn't complain as we HAD been beaten by a far better side on the day.

I remember us getting d??cked 3 or 4 nil at home to Fulham in div 3 or 2 or whatever it was called then. One of theirs got a hat-trick, think he was called something Brazil (not Alan).....

For relative merit, there's the 5-2 at Southend, when we p??ssed the league and they were w??nk and then I remember losing 4-0 at Mansfield on a Tuesday night.

Further mentions to Sheff Weds and Derby away, both in the Prem and both 5-0 I think...

Good shout in Fulham.

Remember a 3-1 home defeat by Crewe where they outplayed us. Rodney Jack gave a candidate for "Best Individual" performance.

Seem to remember he got clapped off by our fans - can't be many to have that privilege. :-k

For relative merit, there's the 5-2 at Southend.

I remember driving away from that one thinking it was going to be a long hard season....

End of 78-79 season we got hammered 4-1 at home by Liverpool...even our goal was in fact an own goal by Souness. Burnden was heaving that night (35,200 crowd) but I think we all realised we'd been well and truly shat on.

remeber that, even though we got trounced, it was a crackin game, if i remember right i think all of their goals were top drawer...

still a long way home though ](*,)

As you asked.

Argyle 4 Bolton 1 Div 3 April 86.

Me too, but I had to drive back to Stockport with a Southend fan ](*,) ](*,)

Was that the night Jeff Chandler accidentally :^o did an overhead kick right in someones face? Me memory is fading, well remember the hat-trick after shouting Bobby Cambell is a w***er. ](*,)

Cant remember an overhead kick against Wigan.

Chandler did this to a Preston defender during the 1-0 win on Easter Monday 89....right in front of the Paddock

Think it was Mick Rathbone.

Fulham pissed on us in the said game, and we also got battered away at Tranmere in the League Cup Semi..................some fcuking journey home that was ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)
