UEFA Cup Ticketing - my ideas

Featured Replies

I expect they will say people with Villa and West Ham vouchers get first dibs. These people will then get first dibs for the next away game too.

What they SHOULD do is give people who have held their season tickets the longest first dibs, except Mr Moores binned that information (I'd love to hear the new system/computer incompatibility excuse as that's what I specialise in at the mo).

ANYWAY, what they can do is to let the hardcore fans who intend to go to every game (if possible), be it Belfast or Belarus give them our credit card details and commit to buying a ticket for every game. This will sort the wheat from the chavs and avoid a scandal of Cardiff-esque proportions.

Otherwise, I'll do the same for every away game, get there first and worry about tickets later. Balls to BWFC and their inept, faceless beaurocracy.

If they give priority to people who are travelling with them, then they better have checked it out legally as the Office of Fair Trading will be informed.

I can see them trying to sell all tickets through their packages.

Whatever they do, i can see a balls up coming our way.

my thoughts exactly

Given I'm at Villa and West Ham I think they should do that :-# :D

Some kind of points system on games attended should have been established a long time ago, wouldn't have been too difficult surely when teamcard was introduced. Massive City have a points system like that, which according to a masive fan I know, sounds like it works.

Presuming we make the group stage I imagine anyone who wants to go to a European game will get a chance as well. Will we seriously sell out, presuming we get more than 100 or so tickets?

Also, will the European home fixtures have bigger crowds than 20K?

why are they waiting till next tuesday? they must know what they are doing by now??

To keep idiots in suspense.

Not only that, but it encourages people to go to games, especially nothing ones.

People buy tickets for England games JUST to get the points.

George has just sent me a PM. He says UEFA Cup tickets should be allocated on the basis of a fan's programme collection. Programmes are the true reflection of a loyal supporter.

Balls to that!

I have a used Bovril cup collection, taken from over 68 grounds in Britain dating back to the late 1950s.

First dabs, me I think.

They shouldn't sell any tickets, just wait & see who turns up at the other end and hand out tickets on the night. First come, first served.

Actually, as a perennial late arrival, I've just seen the flaw in that plan :-k :-k

I think they should look after the corporate lot, players and family and the clubs workers miles before the genuine pay your whack season ticket holder.

Happy has hit the nail on the hammer.

I heard that for the everton fans who want to go to the villa real match on wednesday needed a season ticket, and stubs from EVERY away match last season.

if we do that, I'm screwed!

Nowt new there then eusa_whistle.gif

I have no problem if that's what they have to do, we probably only have a couple of hundred fans who did every game so kudos to them.

Bet those incipid BWSA cunts will get their allocation though.

If we did that, Id travel without a ticket, buy one outside the ground. There must be touts going from Everton, every tout's a scouser :D.

I'm sure that there would be touts outside whichever ground we went to.

Those who want to Aston Villa deserve a ticket.

Which would rule me out.

Seeing them in the Uefa Cup is bigger than the League Cup final to me....so i will travel without a ticket if necessary.

George, are you telling me that people who went to one game deserves a ticket more than someone like me who has seen us in 4 divisions and at over 50 grounds over the last 30 years? Somehow, I think not.

I can produce my ticket from the play off at Aldershot if necessary :D

but i think people who are going to the current away games deserve first dibs.

I wouldnt get one on that basis but dont have a problem going in the home end....if its a big ground like CSKA Sofia it might be a repeat of the old days where bolton fans get an escort round the pitch to the away end :D

did stubs play in all their away games last year though :-k

I think priority booking should go to anyone in th'East Midlands :D/

or better still th'East Midlands and th'East Stand Lower :D/ :D/

Actually, the fairest way is to give priority to anyone sounding like Fred Elliot; ah say the fairest way is to....

they are announcin ticketing details on tuesday for european matches

yet the draw is on friday

so they have decided how to distribute tickets despite the fact we dont know who we are playing or when we will be either home or away

we could end up with roma or litchensteins equivalent of doncaster paperboys but the ticket office arent bothered

says it all really

all i know is that whatever ticket policy bwfc announce it will be the wrong one because most people who work at our club dont know fcuk all about football and they dont give a shit about who gets the tickets as long as they sell them.

just say what you think :D

now see I didn't go to Villa and will hardly go to many aways this season so I can afford to go to as many European games as possible

so for me

that's a b??ll??cks way of doing it
