Who do we want to replace Big Sam

Featured Replies

If he takes over from Sven #-o

Cheekly snath Browny back form Derby?

otherwise Ian Dowie, but I dont think Chairman Jordan would let him go.

Bruce Rioch for me

No, I don't want to think about it.

Guss Hiddink.

Phil Neal's super white army

Could just swap him for Sven :^o

What about Jay C - surely guaranteed thrills, spills and lots of goals :D

If he proves to expensvie to release from his current contract then I would like to see Phil Brown given a chance. I have a horrible feeling that Peter Reid would appear though - and that makes me feel sad

how is dowie going backwards?

excellent choice, i reckon

Dowie would be my choice. Very nearly kept Palace up last season.

Reckon he would have done so had his chairman swallowed his pride and paid that agents fee when signing Tim Cahill.

easy! easy!

joking aside I think Dowie would be a good replacement!

Good god no

Dowie is - by a country mile - the most sensible option

Calm down its a commercial. Big Sam's going nowhere least of all manager of England. He is too outspoken for the FA. When he does decide to call it a day, Phil Brown will return as manager. Wait and see what happens at Derby this season.

Someone please explain to me why they think Ian Dowie would be a worthwhile replacement for Big Sam [-(

i dont see why england / united / any of the big 3 or 4 clubs would want him as he has not won a single trophy.

i think gus hiddink would be a decent replacment for sven.

dont really want to consider bolton without sam. give him whatever he wants to keep him until he retires.

i dont think big sam would get the england job as his tactics wouldnt suit the fa or england, but if he ever left i would go for martin o'neil, but in saying that i wouldnt mind martin getting the england job

Like Gartside's going to !!

Cos he lives across the road?

Cos he lives across the road?

Bet the relocation package would be a deal breaker.

yep, the fact his family live just over the brow from the ground might have a wee bit to do with it?

is there a coincidence sam has been told to tone it down about refs etc on post match interviews, take a more tactical view on things? nudge nudge wink wink from mr gartside? nahhh thats to easy!!

I reckon Phil Brown.

OOPS 8-[ Can't see the smug southern throne-dwelling fat c??nts on Fleet St accepting it though...

Allardyce wants to manage England

Bolton manager Sam Allardyce wants to succeed Sven-Goran Eriksson when he leaves his job as England boss, according to his agent.

The Swede is under pressure after England's shock World Cup qualifying defeat against Northern Ireland.

And agent Mark Curtis said: "Sam wants the job whenever Sven leaves - and the Bolton chairman knows it."

Bolton chairman Phil Gartside is a prominent member of the Football Association board.

And Allardyce's former right-hand man at Bolton, Derby boss Phil Brown, also backed his claims to succeed Eriksson.

He said: "There would be no better man to replace Eriksson. Sam would have no problems dropping big-name players.

"He has proved he can handle the superstars. He has worked with some of the best at Bolton, like Jay-Jay Okocha, Fernando Hierro and Ivan Campo. He has left them all out at some time.

"Sam was always ahead of his time. He was using technology long before other managers and could give you the lowdown on every team in the league and every individual player."
