Casino Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 there have been games at the new place where the atmosphere has been top class west brom play offs arsenal last season in the league charlton facup, halfish full more than once v spurs villa, ipswich, middlesbrough it's not that the reebok CAN'T be very good, it's just that it ISN'T, and that isn't cos it's a new build, it's down to the folk inside
Smiffs Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 the atmosphere is diluted by seats, orange warriors, and folk you wouldnt normally sit next to in any other day to day situation. So, stand up in a Utd type manner, get the orange warriors to chill out a bit, and rename part of the west upper 'the wing stand' for the boring types. (dont ask what the wing stand is because its obviously lost on you if you dont know)

Afterwards the atmosphere in the old orleans (now a next, I think?) was as good as anything on the european tour.
Guest as Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Charlton was good, it was kicking off on the train back to Bolton afterwards as well...........that's how football should be The Ipswich Play Off games were good as well, as was Burnley first game of the season - apart from Fennys mates steward dad kicking me out just after half time anyway. But Man Utd the other week was awful, it's saying a lot when we don't even generate an atmosphere against our Salford neighbours. PB
seasoned Traveller Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Come and watch Leyth RL with me and Smiffs. It's amazing how much atmosphere 5k can generate without knobhead stewards telling you to sit down/shut up.
