Hunt

you are f??ckin w??nk

a kid took the p??ss out of you and scored too.

your crossing was awful and that shot just about summed you up, an embarressment to the white shit.

Fucks sake, the kid who scored did well

When you are a winger and you've got a full back backing up, you've every right to beat him.

Good finish after that.

For what it's worth I have to question whether the club actually care about qualifying for the intertoto, I suspect not.

i for one cant wait for next season no big sam/nolan /campo/the jap/spitter/borgetti and jussi will go cause contracts mean fcuk all and possibly stellios and top all it off no money from the board.

ive said all year that i was renewing my season ticket but im waiting to see what happens during the summer.

I'll say one thing about Hunt - he's got bollox.

To take the shyte he did and perform the way he did after takes some doing.

I reckon Sam tells Hunt to show wingers inside. That must be it. Allardyce is always on about percentages and shooting from outside the area not being effective. So he thinks by showing wingers inside onto their weaker foot there is less chance of them scoring, rather than swinging in a cross with their stronger foot. balls if you ask me, and made Hunt look like a right tool last night. But what Sam says goes eg. No Okocha tricks, everytime we get a throw in its long.

which would fit in with ben haim realising he'd fooked up big time in not closing the kid down

To be honest that's the way I was taught , keep them on the weak foot and push them towards the center halfs

exactly, but youre meant to be tight enough so they dont get a shot in with their weak foot either.

Just shows then doesn't it because I was taught show them outside and keep tackling with your stronger foot. I presume that would mean Hunt showing him outside. We just don't know, but using Hunt as the scapegoat is shite. The whole team want a rocket up their arse last night, especially our esteemed captain.

It would depend if the winger could burn you for pace , if in can show him in side , if not show him the line because he will find it hard to get around you ....

Hunt did'nt have the best of games but at times he made important clearences, tackles etc however due to the booing that was overshadowed. Apart from o'brien and hunt who else can we play at right back? We'll just have to live with it at the moment, at the end of the day we are digging our own graves slagging them off because we are stuck with them.

The point is, booing him will really help him to get it right next time.

If thats tha case, why dont we boo the whole team on to the pitch and throughout the game!

Barracking a player never works. Players dont need abuse to know if they have made mistakes or are having a bad game.

For some reason, local lads seem to get more stick than others. The same things were said about Greavo and Julian Darby.

I think you mean "shit" local lads.

I dont give a fook where Hunt is from, he aint good enough.

Boby, are you the one person on here that didn't take my post in the sarcastic manner in which it was meant? Would you like me to make it easier to keep up by adding the word NOT at the end?

Hunt has always shown the winger inside...remember the goal at Balackburn away last season?

To show inside or outside depends on the game - if we're defending deep, compacting the space the opposition can play in then yes show him inside to the crowded part of the pitch where centre halves / midfield can close the player and general play down. But if we're stretched ala last night and don't neccesarily have the cover then push the forward wide and try to stop the cross forcing the winger to dribble or pass backward to a supporting player, during which time we should have recovered and got men back.

Nolan was the worst player on the pitch last night.

We won 1-0 at Blackburn last season, don't remember the goals from the season before, well not Blackburn's at least.

Most worrying thing about Hunt for me is not when he shows players inside, but his awful positioning on cross field passes. The number of 50-60 yard diagonal balls last night that dropped over his head to an opponents foot was frightening. I would never boo a Bolton player (that's my preference, not a criticism of others), but I thought Pedersen looked far better positionally than Hunt last night, which is ridiculous considering the games he's played for England U21's at Centre Back

Did he play last night :-k

Yep, get it now, I should have read your earlier post. O:)

It still illustrates the point that barracking is none productive.

The point is that most of the play was coming in Hunt's direction. I think maybe they've highlighted him as the player most likely to show the opposition inside and played on that. Pedders had very little to do comparatively.
