Bolton are on the verge of signing Quinton Fortune from Manchester United after the player arrived at the club for a fitness test.

Allardyce is targeting at least six new signings during the summer and it looks as though Fortune is set to be the first arrival during a hectic close season for the Wanderers boss.

Fortune is available on a Bosman transfer after being told he is free to leave Old Trafford by Reds boss Sir Alex Ferguson and Wanderers have nipped in ahead of Manchester City to land the South African international.

think it's his versatility all over the centre and left side of defence and midfield that makes him a good signing

i like him he was very consitent and unsung in utds midfield before he got injured, if we are nicking players from city who it was rumoured was his preffered option i will be more than happy.
