Fair play but I might be a little older than you, not sure, but my lasting memories of BWFC are little old Bolton, bless em, giant killers, yo yo team etc so when I started to see men with talent like his wearing a white shirt I thought, 'we've arrived'. The players are professionals playing for money. If another hotel chain came to you and offered you more money to work for them, you would take it.

Michael Ricketts for all his faults got us promoted to the premiership with the majority of goals from the bench.

we got our use out of them then fired them off

sasa left and never got it back

we got the optimum use out of ricketts, his goals got us up, kept us up then his transfer fee kept us up again

 

the players all made vital contibutions when they were here and even when they are gone with transfer fees and saving on wages for new blood

Stubbs played a huge part at the back, he was a young captain for a reason, and major reason as to why we started to become a bigger club.

 

Okocha???? I've never seen one player make such an impact in one season in a white shirt. Most notably in the Prem!

 

Ricketts was the fire power needed to get us up, and he kept us up with his 12 goals the season after.

 

Only two of these players left on sour terms. And we still have a lot to be thankful for!
