Weak, weak journalism and as licence fee payers we will end up footing any legal bills

Since SKY TV 's rise, the BBC over the last 5 years has been trying to compete on an equal footing - Breaking News, etc. We expect it from Sky but the BBC should always deal in facts - in this case they haven't

Not many on here commented on the BBC 'Exclusive' England fans in Stuggart a couple of months ago. Fcuk all happened, a few bottles thrown but what really fcuked me off was when the cops performed mass arrest, the narrator of the programme took the piss out of the Millwall fan but never made the point that the Undercover BBC man had also been arrested when he hadn't committed a crime. A prettty important point in my book

BBC News at it tonight- so pro Muslim over John Reid incident, it really is embarrassing

I think a few of these 'journalists' will be in for a shock when they get re-located to Salford

would any of them appear in a court of law=I doubt it

go for it sam sue their arses off

Journalists live under rocks.

don't know if you all remember but Ferguson now never does a BBC interview ever since him and his son got accused.

I think Sam should do the same if he is innocent

For all those saying Allardyce is innocent and would not take a bribe, consider this. Sam spent his playing years as a journeyman professional and did not earn the big bucks that the top players are now getting, players that he has to manage. Now if a corrupt agent comes along and says do a deal with this player and there is 100k in it for you, that is a big temptation. Now I don't know whether he is guilty or not (I hope he isn't) but he is a human being and it takes great strength of character to refuse a bribe where there is little chance of being found out..

that is one thing sam posseses in bucket loads, i am 100% sure sam will be cleared of all charges made on panorama, the BBC is a sinking ship if they felt the evidence the submitted was good enough for them to go public and crucify him.

The BBC lawyers must have thought they were on firm ground or they would not have let the programme go out. Sam has not yet issued a writ for libel.

And for all those saying the BBC is just picking on little Bolton, Chelsea and Liverpool were both also mentioned in the programme.

They were more than mentioned, Panorama showed the actual footage they had of things happening at their clubs that strictly speaking shouldn't be. They left that one there.

They then spent 45 mins concentrating on Sam when they essentially had NOTHING on him.

Thats one of my biggest gripes with the program, that tiny coupla clips were/was far worse than rumours!

They should have pictured him outside a graffiti covered council house!

For a change, Talk Sport was pretty good tonight with Porky Parry & Andy Townsend

Main discussion point was Pananorma

Parry reckoned they had spent so much on flights and hotels they had to put a show out. Otherwise it would have been a waste of money. He wouldn't have touched it if he was the editor

I've had my phone switched off all week because I didn't want to be asked on to talk about it.

Don't you have an agent? Tsk.

Don't you have an agent? Tsk.

the bbc lawyers will be clever and ensure that although the film implied a lot nothing was said by them

the agents said things, which they may have now retracted but they did say it, what in there was libelous ?

his name was mentioned by 3 agents, this is what the lawyers have been checking, shocking journalism from the BBC but i bet not libelous.

sam could sue his missus for giving birth to an idiot though
