Beckham

He'll be living in Lostock come June. ::::::::lol::::::::

Real Madrid director of sport Predrag Mijatovic has told Italian television that David Beckham will leave the club in the summer.

Speaking to Sky Italia, Mijatovic revealed that the former England captain would not sign a new contract at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"Beckham will leave us, we will not renew his contract," he stated.

Beckham's current deal runs out at the end of the season and there has been frenzied speculation about his future.

Real did initially offer the ex-Manchester United idol a new contract, but Beckham refused to commit himself to the club having fallen out of the first-team picture under Fabio Capello.

The Primera titans now appear to have lost patience with the 31-year-old and Mijatovic insists he will no longer be granted the opportunity to extend his stay at the club.

Brian Woolnough, Chief Football Writer for The Star, was on Sky News last night talking about the Beckham situation. He said that there's no way Becks should go to the US or Japan, and that most big Prem clubs wouldn't want him, therefore he should go to Bolton.

Reckons Big Sam would be the ideal manager to give him the opportunity to prove people wrong, to finish his career on a high in the Prem.

Can't see it happenin' meself, don't know whether I would want it to happen, but it just shows how far we've come as a club if respected football writers (I know he writes for The Star, but I think he's a pretty fair and sound bloke) suggest a player of Beckhams standing should go to Bolton without so much as a snigger.

I wouldn't mind Beckham coming here for the right money.

He'd add a hell of a lot to us with his free kicks, and would fit nicely into our midfield I think. His legs won't stand up to a wide midfield role but he'd be OK in the middle of the park with a holding player behind him.

I read that, but Woolnough is an utter c??nt.

It all depends on what Beckham's priorities are. If he wants to prove himself again in the premiership, get back into the England set up, be part of a club that will look after him and ensure that he can play successfully for many more seasons then come to Bolton.

However I feel his priorities lie elsewhere. Money, fame, the Beckham franchise and his wife which will probably mean he ends up at the MLS, Milan, London or staying in Madrid.

I read that, but Woolnough is an utter c??nt.

I haven't read that, just saw him on Sky last night.

He can't be that much of a red ginger if he's, in effect, prasing Bolton - one of the few writers that do!! Whenever I've seen him on that Jimmy Hill Sunday supplement thing, he always seems fair.

Can't win with some people - hate us, you're a red ginger..praise us and give us good, national & international coverage, you're a...

I could see Beckham doing a job for us in midfield and also the Campo role from time to time but lets face facts, its not going to happen.

On Jimmy Hills Sunday Supplement they likened it (Beckham to Bolton) to when Glen Hoddle made the switch down to Swindon. If Beckham was purely a football man then it'd be much more of a possibility but he's going to live off his image for the rest of his life. A move to Bolton is far to small fry so I cant see him going anywhere other than the States and really launching himself over there.

I also think he'd be a major distraction with all the hype that follows him. Not forgetting of course that he's also a bona fide 100% munich.

It'll be his missus who makes the descision, hmmm - live in a mansion in Beverly Hills LA, OR in the flat above the Starkie - YOU DECIDE.

I know what you are saying, but if he did play for us I would just about welcome him.

When we were linked with Roy Keane that was a different story I genuinely would not have attended a match with him in a white shirt, I would have waited til he left our club before I went back to a Bolton match

LA Galaxy.

I'll sit naked on the (remaining) elephants in the town centre if he comes to Bolton.
