Sweep Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 ??2.2 million, Dunn. You certainly have been. ??2.2M does seem a lot of money, I would hope it's only ??1M up front and then the rest based on winning stuff and appearances etc
Happy Wanderer Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 I would imagine that clubs don't pay the full whack up front these days and it will come down to appearances and finishing in certain positions or winning cups etc.
YATESY Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 I would imagine that clubs don't pay the full whack up front these days and it will come down to appearances. Bruce has said exactly that..."ALOT depends on appearances"
HomerJay Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 from a very reliable source this, dunn is having a medical at rover this very minute!
Happy Wanderer Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I've heard that Rovers put in a last minute bid that was accepted by Brum.
Guest as Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 They can have him - he's overweight & injury-prone. I'd sooner we save our money on a player who can actually make 10 appearances this season instead.
YATESY Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Checked with my mate who works at The Guardian in Manchester and as at 9.15, Bolton had NOT called any unplanned press conferences for the remainder of this week. No press conference = no new signing to announce
cbwfcd Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I reckon he failed his medical at Us then Bruce said that he passed it to make Blackburn meet their valuation for him and then they will rush him through the medical quickly because he has already passed the Bolton one. Bolton and Birmingham planning the inbread's downfall.

cbwfcd Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 No, Even though the fee is appearance based I think that we could spend the money better.
HomerJay Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 at 750k up front for such ability, i cant see how we could spend cash any better. if he stays slightly fit, he would be a cracking aquistion imo...
exiledwhite2 Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 at 750k up front for such ability, i cant see how we could spend cash any better. if he stays slightly fit, he would be a cracking aquistion imo... Undecided on this one, I agree with you Homer but then again, we already have Fortune and we don't want too many in the squad like that. Problem being that you start the season (next season that is) thinking you have players available and they break down, leaving you short.
jimmyjoojar Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 at 750k up front for such ability, i cant see how we could spend cash any better. if he stays slightly fit, he would be a cracking aquistion imo... Its the "if" that is the question Homer. I'm sure Dunn knows that if anyone can help him stay fit and cure his problems it would be our backroom staff. However its a case of head and heart, does he make the best footballing decision for himself or go to his boyhood club. I wouldn't be surprised if he did choose Jackburn. Which would say a lot about the lad in my eyes.

When you look at it like that I couldn't agree more. Its just the IF in the stays fit. I suppose if he doesn't stay fit then we don't pay as much for him.

Pablo Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 He is a Blackburn lad, what do you expect, plus more chance of him playing for them.
Piemon Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 this is a S E B surely http://www.wanderersways.com/forum/index.p...mp;#entry344301
no balls Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 He is a Blackburn lad, what do you expect, plus more chance of him playing for them. Isn't Joey Barton an Evertonian?
cbwfcd Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I don't blame the guy, its like asking one of us who would you rather play for Bolton or Blackburn.
