have you been asleep sinse Sunday?????

nothing was ever official...

its been official since Brain Boy left the Barcodes last week

You give the impression that BSA was an honourable man and a man of his word. He's only done to us what he did to Notts County.

Newcastle are a bigger club and with the right manager will probably break into the top four positions.

Exactly - we can't really complain, but i'd love to see Owen's face when Sam tries to explain the concept of loyalty to him.

my only problem was him leaving early. other than that - I think its been on the cards for some time.

look at where we were 8 years ago and where we are now. No complaints.

"Our Craig" will be rubbing his hands.

Not quick enough for their fans/Fat Freddy though, hence the number of managers they've had in the last few years.

They want to be good and attractive and that nich? has been filled by Arsenal imo.

Good luck to him, he'll need it.

Whats the betting that there will be a bid for peter crouch?

how intelligent

Top four? No f?cking chance, the present 4 clubs have more money & better players in place already. I do think they'll break intot he top 6-8 next season tho.

top 6 next season i reckon.

i expect a legal wrangle with bolton to follow, he is bound to try and raid your backroom staff.

lets see what he can do with money.

welcome abord big sam :yahoo:

If he does he loses my respect, not that he'd give a toss

Build a house, move somewhere else and rip the kitchen and bathroom out?

how intelligent

Define irony. A deluded barcode questioning a comment that makes more sense than anything I've ever read from a jawdee.

You'll hound Sam out of the job in 2 seasons, fella.

Newcastle = Man City of the NE.

i just think the 'brain boy' thing is a bit sad, and a bit sick.

on the other comments, time will tell.

personally, i think you will be hounding out little sam before we will big sam, but time will tell.

top 6 next season i reckon.

Exactly the reason why BS won't last 18 months and Newcastle will continue to be trophyless. Their fans are idiots and think that they have some devine right to win things and that a change in fortune should be instant.

We've actually won stuff more recently than them.

believe me, we dont.

we just dont want people like souness or roeder in charge of our club, and can you blame us? would you want them at bolton?

the whole divine right thing, and the whole 'we demand attacking football' and 'we demand a top number 9' is a load of cobblers.

we want 3 points like anyone else, and we love our football, love us or hate us, we do, and we know sam will need time.

i dont remember us hounding bobby out after he finished 11th in his first 2 seasons, because we knew we had the right man who needed time, in the same way as we know we have today appointed the right man, and he too will need time.

I doubt it, Bolton fans realise that it isn't going to be easy one season to the next, we're all expecting to do worse the following season because we know we punch above our weight regularly. There are no comments of 'a top 6 finish next season' coming from our fans, with or without Big Sam. The top 6 next season will be Man U, Chelski, L'pool, Arsenal, Spurs and someone else, but it won't be Newcastle or Bolton. We won't call for little sams head if we finish 14th next season.

believe me, we dont.

I doubt the majority of fans (including yourself :) ) think like that, but I think that you still have fans that do and they seem to be the ones that the press picks up on, which is then a vicious circle of playing badly and fans giving them stick until the man upstairs decides to move on to the next one.

All eyes will be on fat Sam for next season to see what he really is made of with money to spend. He always wanted a 'bigger' club but elected to join Newcastle who have won nothing for years. He wanted to leave Bolton to win trophies and I think he will again fall short of that.

I don't think he will do any better than he did during this time at Bolton, in fact the pressure will be more intense to prove himself.

we know we have today appointed the right man, and he too will need time.

aye, but 3 year contract?

guess it makes sense but we gave alladyce 10 years from the off, mind you, he had us in the top 8 within 5
