He did a great job for us, maybe no-one else could have. But we have reservations about him too ..... you'll find that out.

I wouldn't say gutted, more annoyed at how it happened. I personally think the time was right for BS to go, he had taken us as far as he could with his style of football. I had a feeling he was going to go at the end of the season from Christmas (when all my mates laughed at me). Thank you and goodbye.

I think Sam had come to realise that he and his football style were burnt out at Bolton. I sort of believe him when he said that he needed a break because I thought that he had become a busted flush.

 

Endless games since the turn of the year when the style hasn't changed one jot when we probably have one of the best strikers in Europe with the ball on the deck in Anelka said it for me.

 

I hope that Lee gets hold of some buy to improve British players. He is one of the best coaches of young talent in the business. He just needs a wheeler dealer negotiator with good football connections behind him.

 

That and if we can get 2 or 3 players from the current Academy crop to make it up to the Premiership, we will keep our place in the Premiership next season and start to generate our own talent once again.

He got us as far as anyone could, but he lost all respect from me by lying so whereas I would have wished him all the best had he just been straight, I hope he fails miserably.

Big Sam did a tremendous job for us expecially keeping us in the Premiership, Cup final, 3 top 8 finishes in succession and our second UEFA cup campaign in 3 years, it's what fairy tales are made of

 

He ambitious and wants to improve be moving to a more ambitious resourceful club, so good luck to him, not bitter at all

All eyes will be on fat Sam for next season to see what he really is made of with money to spend. He always wanted a 'bigger' club but elected to join Newcastle who have won nothing for years. He wanted to leave Bolton to win trophies and I think he will again fall short of that.

I don't think he will do any better than he did during this time at Bolton, in fact the pressure will be more intense to prove himself.

Good luck Sam, I don't mind the Geordies and would much rather see them up towards the top of the League than teams like Spurs, Pompey, WHU etc.

 

For what its worth i think Sam will do well up their. But with money comes expectations, something that Sam hasn't really encountered before. If he splashes the cash and gets a few wrong, then the Newcastle board and public can soon change their tune.

A lot of my respect from him went after deserting us with 2 games of the season left, and then f?cking off to Newcastle in no time.

 

I understand it was leaked he was leaving, and I'm full aware of the job he did for us - but it's still p?ssed me off.

 

And my negative side is worried we'll be relegated within 2-3 seasons, as LS has no experience and we're one of the only clubs in the PL now without some multi-billionaire foreigner chucking money at us.
