Can't say I am surprised about that news and not too arsed either.

If the 7 include most of his scouts then that mean not too many of the glorified physios have left. I am sure McParland will want his own scouting team anyway.

 

As for moving homes:

He was seen out with his wife and a few other couples in a North Turton pub restaurant only a few weeks ago.

 

His wife has refused to move out of the family home in Bromley X for over 20 years now and I cant see this being any different.

Would love too move on but at the moment I am seething about allardyce, in fact I would rather have spent the last 10 years in Division 3 if it meant allardyce never came any where near bwfc, he has basically used the club as a stepping stone, the club and town that adopted him as one of there own he has shit on big time.

I feel very bitter about the fat man aswell and will certainly not be welcoming him back but I'm happy with the way our club has responded. Positively and little sam seems to be making good progress.

O.K. for the last time, I am not bitter that Allardyce has left, because of our stagnant boring football I think a change was overdue, what is annoying me is me the uncertainty since he left, players and backroom unrest has definitely set in and Allardyce hanging round the club like a vulture to pick off our best players and our backroom team is the reason I am seriously hacked off with him, unrest at football clubs is a major cause for concern, unstable clubs as you know tend to get relegated, we cannot afford relegation, we need top flight football to ensure we continue to pay off debt and continue to stabilise and strengthen the club, for you to say bollox to it and move on is glib in the extreme, Allardyce is now a major factor in destabilising the club, in my mind he knows what he is doing manipulating the press and maybe putting doubt in certain players minds (i.e.Anelka) the sooner the season starts and he has his own problems to sort out the better, as I have said previously I will go out on the piss to celebrate when he gets sacked.

i wouldn't say it was glib as such, as soon as alladyce left i knew he'd take his best backroom staff with him, more to the point, i knew they would want to follow him, the cliche these days if football is a business, well this "defection" occurs in many businesses and is not uncommon

 

gartside suggested that sam wasn't the big man he thought he was at the club but the fact key members of backroom staff want to work with him would suggest that if sammy lee wants the make his mark on the club he's going to have to get his own people in such as mcparland, at least with alladyce doing all the work to get our structure in place, lee knows what vacancies need to be filled and i think backroom staff will be a lot easier to replace than players - the sooner they go and are replaced the better and for me, if they want to go then they should - the fact they all want to work for alladyce speaks volumes, no one made them leave

 

as for the playing front, I don't see that much unrest - it's all speculation, anelka has said he'd only leave to a champs league club, but he said this pretty much the day he signed, diouf hasn't said anything and we knew in january that tal would sign for chelsea in the summer

 

let those who want to work for sam go and do so, and let sammy lee build a team that will hopefully demonstrate similar devotion to him - if gartside is right in saying lee was more integral to the our recent success, then we've nothing to worry about with regards a couple of physios jumping ship

Me too!! I've had a dislike for SHAM ALLARYSHYTE for three seasons, cumulating in me not having an ST last season because the football was so poor. UEFA cup place or not, the football was like rubbing sand comtaminated vaseline in your arse crack...

 

As soon as Sammy Lee got the job, I bought 2 tickets, and I think a lot more will come back or will have renewed, whereas they might have been on the verge of giving up being STH.

 

If some of the backroom staff want to go, let them. If BSA thinks Newcastle's grass is greener, the proof will be in the pudding. He wants five years? Laughable, considering he was only given a three year contract. Ferguson/Mourinho/Wenger wouldnt be given 5 years at Newcastle, so unrealistic are the expectations. Mark my words, he'll be under pressure from 5pm on Saturday 11th August when Bolton have beaten Newcastle. The usual mid-season of 8 games without a win, that wont be tolerated up in Newcastle and if he is still in a job by Xmas 2008, I will be quite surprised.

 

As for us, which is more important, I am excited that we're at least looking like we're going to play with wingers, that's what it is all about. I certainly wont be missing the 1-0's or the "must not win, must not lose" mentality. I think it's more the performance people, the backroom backroom staff, the new roles that alladyce instigated at the club - I'm not so sure he's interested in the football people as it were

 

when I say that alladyce left us with a great set up i mean that we know the roles that are in place and how to fill them - eg, we need a tai chi expert - this is also why we appointed lee, he knows how things work here and whats needed for continuity

 

this is why I'm not too concerned, so long as the football people stay, I think we'll be right

I read that report in 'The Sun'about Allardyce having a go at Gartside,and how he kept referring to him as Gartside.i.e surname only.It just didn't ring true.

When i finished reading it I just thought that some journo had shown Allardyce what Gartside had said,and Allardyce had jokingly said 'Well Phil's sad and bitter'

OK,i am guessing,but that is pretty much how the tabloids work.

 

As Spider pointed out,they are probably still good mates and having a laugh about this.

 

My feelings are that i like what i have seen from LSA so far and i stand by previous posts that I would take a lower position for more entertaining football any day.

This thread is a good read. So many diffrent views about Big Sam ......from 'hating him' to respecting what he has done' to 'not giving a toss either way'

I didn't always dislike Sam, though. I'd had enough of him and his media whoring and negative football at about the same time he took his eye off the ball at Bolton. He cost us European football last season by the way he let the previous season peter out after Xmas whilst he chased an England job he was never goping to get.

I was watching a season review DVD a while ago and couldnt believe how arrogant he sounded in some of the interviews. I just laughed it at the time but he looks really arrogant to me now. whilst i'm more for a gracious manager than an arrogant one, and very often cringed at some of the stuff he came out with, what he did with bolton is up there in the greatest mangerial achievements of the last 20 years

 

for me only ferguson and wenger for me have done more for their clubs and funnily enough allardyce was just behind them in the management tenure stakes with his 8 years at the helm

 

say what you like but we'll never do better in terms of progression in such a space of time

 

don't care what he does at newcastle and whether he's a success or not, it's all about liitle sam now and unless he truly f?cks things up a lot of what we have at this moment in time and in years to come is down to other sam and the way in which he has turned this club around

 

the football may have been painful at times but without him we wouldn't have had plovdiv, djorkaeff or a cup final which for me are the best things I've seen at Bolton in the last 10 years

 

I also would like to point out that I believe that Gartside has also been integral in all of this so don't be calling him a c?nt just because we don't offer any players the contracts they believe they deserve
