November 26, 200718 yr Right, MOTD said it, football extra said it, and now the official site is saying it - Kevin Nolan is suspended for the Liverpool game after picking up his 5th yellow of the season against United. http://www.bwfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Gener...1176147,00.html Now, I don't disagree that Nicky Hunt has had 5, but I'm sure, after going through the BBC results ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...lts/default.stm ), that Nolan has only been booked 4 times in the league this season. Despite carrying the above story, the official site also seems to count them up and come to four: http://www.bwfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Disci...0071004,00.html As does ESPN, useful for stats if nothing else: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/stats/playerd...525&cc=5739 Has anyone got a clue what's going on? I'd really rather Kevin didn't miss the Anfield trip. Edited November 26, 200718 yr by M'crayons

November 26, 200718 yr my lad was speaking to hunt on sat he is gutted he got booked, said ball was thrown to him after a bit of a delay and next thing he is getting booked ffs Can we not appeal - I mean c'mon he was hardly timewasting. How he got booked for that and Patricia (note the girly name) Evra didnt get booked for GBH on Guthrie is beyond me. Really dont fancy Cid or McCann at RB against the scousers.

Don't suppose anyone can remember the fifth? United Birmingham Arsenal Boro ???????? Just seems odd that every website I have checked has the wrong info. Maybe they've chalked up one of them to that Ian Nolan chap we always hear about....
November 26, 200718 yr Could be one in the league cup? They count in all English competitions don't they?
November 26, 200718 yr my lad was speaking to hunt on sat he is gutted he got booked, said ball was thrown to him after a bit of a delay and next thing he is getting booked ffs He wouldn't have got booked if that f?ckin welsh sheep sh@ggin rent boy illigitemate tw@t Giggs hadn't screamed at the ref to book him, god I f?ckin hate Giggs
November 26, 200718 yr Author Could be one in the league cup? They count in all English competitions don't they? Yeah, the FA just talk about 'First Team Competitive Matches'. And Diouf served a suspension for having 4 in the league, one in the cup. I still make Nolan just the four in the league though, and he's not listed as having picked up one against Fulham or City.
November 26, 200718 yr Visit My Website I update this after every game, only down as four bookings, none in the cups
November 26, 200718 yr Author Visit My Website I update this after every game, only down as four bookings, none in the cups What's your source? I don't know why, but as soon as he said it on MOTD it just didn't sound right. Maybe I am autistic after all.... Having said that, Nolan did seem to be very disappointed when he was booked, suggesting he thought he was due a suspension. Edited November 26, 200718 yr by M'crayons
November 26, 200718 yr The official site says he's suspended, so does the FA: http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/Disciplinary/Su...dingPlayers.htm
November 26, 200718 yr Author The official site says he's suspended, so does the FA: http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/Disciplinary/Su...dingPlayers.htm Yeah, not having a go, but both of those are in the first 2 posts in this thread. But nobody I've spoken to can work out why.
November 26, 200718 yr But nobody I've spoken to can work out why. is it not because he's got 5 bookings?
November 26, 200718 yr Author is it not because he's got 5 bookings? I mean nobody else can come up with those 5 bookings. As I say, even the information on the official site lists him as having 4.
November 26, 200718 yr What about Guthrie on Sunday, is he eligible to play? To have to make 3 changes would be a shame.
November 26, 200718 yr What about Guthrie on Sunday, is he eligible to play? To have to make 3 changes would be a shame. Ineligible.
November 26, 200718 yr just a quick question but do bookings in friendlies count? or maybe its carried over from last season as red cards are? like i said just a question i have no idea myself.
November 27, 200718 yr Hasn't Hunt just beaten Joey O'B back to full fitness? If Joey is back for Sunday, Hunt's booking could leave him out of the team for sometime - a shame really seeing it was his best performance for years.
November 27, 200718 yr maybe its carried over from last season Aye. He was booked against the Hun, Middlesbrough, Arsenal and Birmingham this season, and against West Ham at the end of last season.
November 27, 200718 yr why does I get the feeling this thread will go on for some time, maybe even long after his ban is complete
November 27, 200718 yr Surely everyone starts with a clean slate at the beginning of a new season? Aye, players can do what they want in the last month of the season without fear of reproach.
